〈listen to the song〉
《third person point of view》A pasty girl was left on the lush grass lying in a young boy's arms, a boy who just wanted to help. An angry man faces off a parasite, an interdimensional parasite named Mother, who hunted Miss America but found Harley instead and attacked on sight. It took the form of a normal woman, managing to fool anyone who's give it a look.
While Wade faced off with the parasite, America stood by Strange, worry stricken as she seen the parasite she thought she'd killed. But Strange ordered her so stay, as he was so close to opening this portal, and all he needed next was the punch of America's fist to stabilize it.
The unforgiving wind and rain slapped against the group as they were dedicated to their jobs, Wade slicing his swords to the parasite who toyed with him. It laughed at him with every swing that he missed. But Wade wouldn't give up. The girl he knew he loved was at near death because of this beast and he would stop at nothing to destroy it.
Harley was fighting her own battle though. Her eyes flickered beneath her lids as inner conflict took over.
"Let me out." Harley whispered.
"No, I can't... I—not again... I can't lose control again." Harleen collapsed to her knees as tears flowed.
"You are a part of me, and I am a part of you. No matter what, you and I are the same. We have to protect each other." Harley lowered to her knees across from her alternative, placing her pale hands on Harleen's toned face. "Let me out and I can save us. I promise I will protect us." She said softly. Harleen, her face all flustered from crying, finally looks up into her own blue eyes, warmed by the gentle smile presented to her. Harleen finally caved in, reaching her arms to Harley and holding her tightly as they dissolved into each other.
Her eyes snap open as the rain pours onto her. She pulls away from Peter's grasp and clenches her hand over the wound as she staggers to her feet. She looks ahead to see Wade being pinned down by the parasite as its strange rubbery skin morphs over his face and begins consuming his head. Harley grunts as she forces her feet forward, slowly but surely making way to the parasite.
Reaching into the back of her skirt, she pulled out he pistol that Harleen luckily brought along. She cocks the gun as she aims the barrel to the parasite, trying to stay still but the blood leaking from between her fingers over the wound made it hard. She gritted her teeth and closed one eye, aiming, then firing. The parasite screeched as it fell from atop of Wade.
Harley stumbles over to Wade, collapsing once she makes it to his side, being caught in his arms before she hit the ground.
America couldn't stand the sight, so she peeled away from Strange's side and ran to the parasite. She grabbed it, slamming it onto its back as it tried to get up. America punched it multiple times before forcing it back up to its feet, her fist wrapper around its throat, and used all her might to punch a hole in the universe and tossed it through, looking back to Peter before jumping into the portal herself, it closing behind her.
Peter yelled and ran but was too late. She was gone.
Meanwhile, the power Strange was generating began to overwhelm him and knocked him out. He shook his head as he pushed himself off the ground, the colorful storm clouds dispersing. Peter picked himself up and slid his mask back on, Wade picked Harley up bridal style, and Strange cleaned himself off as they all grouped up.
"Where's America?" Strange asked.
"She went through the portal with Mother." Peter replied, a bit of depression in his tone.
"What were you doing anyways? Why the fuck would you do it out in the open?" Wade said aggressively as he clung onto the soaking wet Harley.
"She wanted to go back home." Strange replied.
"Wh— home?"
"She doesn't belong here, Wade."
"Yes she does. She's staying with me." He pulled her closer.
"I'm gonna go." Peter spoke.
"Yeah." Strange looked from Peter back to Wade. "You don't know the stress the universe is put through when someone who doesn't belong, enters and stays for a period of time."
"That's not my problem, Doctor Fart."
"Real mature, Wade."
"Doctor wackjob."
"Enough—"
"Doctor Stupid." Wade chuckled.
"You're literally acting like a child Wade stop this. Give Harley to me and we can both figure out a way to send her back."
"Doctor B.J. Hardick." He snickered.
"ENOUGH! WHY'RE YOU ACTING LIKE THIS?!"
"To distract you, asshole." Wade pulled out Harley's gun and shot Strange through the shoulder and took off with Harley, knowing strange would be fine and reverse the wound soon, but in the meantime, he needed to disappear. He took her to the apartment and packed all of their things, throwing them into a moving truck and leaving New York. He found a quiet little place, just off the edge of Canada and unpacked everything. It'd been days since Harley passed out, and she still hasn't awoken yet.
Wade walks into the room Harley sleeps in, morphine drip stuck in her, along with another tube that directly shoots nutrients into her veins while she sleeps so she doesn't starve.
He brings a bucket and wet rag to her, sinking into the bed next to her and begins wiping her down. He pulls the blankets from on top of her, revealing her nude body.
"Nice." He whispers as he glances to her breast, then running the rag over them. Then suddenly a young girl with jet black hair and green eyes walks to the bedroom door, leaning against the frame.
"Who the hell is she?" She asks.
"Laura! Oh my sweet mini wolverine." Wade says jokingly as he jumps up and runs to her, but is stopped as two claws quickly shoot out from her knuckles and impale him in the chest. "OOF—shoulda seen that coming..." he backed away, the adamantium blades pulling out as he did. He let out a groan as he stumbled back to the bed. "Her name is Harley."
"What happened to her?"
"She uh, she isn't exactly from here...?"
"Where, Canada?"
"Uh, well yeah, but... I mean this... universe?"
"What?!" Laura yells. "How the hell did she get here?"
"I actually don't know."
"Wade, I swear if you did something—"
"I didn't do anything! This time... but seriously I have no fucking clue how she got here. She just... showed up through a portal."
"Portal... have you tried talking to Doctor Strange?"
"Er, well, slight problemo... he's kinda the one we're hiding from."
"What the fuck did you do this time, Wade?"
"Wellllllll.... crazy story." He laughed. "So Harley has this alternate personality and it kinda took over and tried finding a way out of this universe and spoke to Strange and he was gonna help but everything went terribly wrong when this weird dimensional parasite showed up and sabotaged everything and nearly killed Harley and I kinda told Strange to back off and called him an asshole and took Harley because I think I love her and I don't want her to go and you're the only mutant I know in Canada so I thought I'd give you a call."
Laura stared with an expressionless face for a moment, then sighed in frustration. "God dammit Wade."
