The Nightmare

Alana's POV
After Matthew hang me up I got worried. I was so sure that I had heard something. But what was it? I tried to call again but it was impossible. After the 20th call I've decided to go look for him...what if he was in danger? I looked at my clock
11:40
I quickly and quietly got out from my window and jumped off transforming into my wolf again. I felt free and full of energy. I took a sniff of the air and smell...blood?
Why blood?
Wait a minute...
The girl.
I swear if she touched Matt...she won't be able to see the night fall again.
I ran to our tree house and jumped onto the roof. I had transformed back into my human self. I jumped into the window and looked around. Everything looked fine. Then I heard a buz. I looked down at my phone.

Hey, Sorry for hanging you up earlier. I had a tough night but I'll tell you everything tmr. Night.

I quickly typed back

It's ok. Glad you're ok. Night.

I sigh and went to my room. I was too tired to go back to my house. I collapse into my bed, my eyes slowly closing and letting darkeness slowly surrounding me...

"Ahhh Matt! Why! It's so cold." I shuddered. Matt and I went to big bear for the winter vacations and we were renting a cabin for 2 whole weeks. We were throwing snow balls at each other. Our parents had another cabin to themselves a few blocks away so Matt and I had a whole cabin to ourselves. He had his room and I had mine. We were having so much fun. We noticed that it was getting dark but we didn't care. We wanted to continue playing in the snow.

Matt and I were out in the porch resting. I looked over at the snowman we had built and smiled to myself. I was really glad that Matt was here with me. He watched the beautiful night sky. The moon was the one that catched your eye the most. It was really beautiful. We were infront of the frozen lake. It was an amazing scene.
"Smores?" Matt asked. I noticed that he was rosting some smores by the little campfire besides us. I took one and shove it in my mouth. We both looked at each other and laugh. We were having so much fun when...

"Matthew"

"Huh?"
"What?"
"Did you say something?"
"No."

"Matthew."

"Umm I'm gonna go check on something real quick." Matthew quickly got up and slide down the small snow hill. I grabbed another smore and stuffed it into my mouth. I could feel the soft warm chocolate melt in my mouth. Chocolate was so delicious!
I grabbed another one when I heard...

...A howl.

I quickly got up and looked towards the frozen lake. I froze when I saw Matt in his wolf form again, but he wasn't alone.

She was with him.
I quickly ran towards them.

"Alana don't!"
I slipped. The girl took the opportunity with Matthew's distraction and slam him hard into the frozen lake. The lake cracked and Matthew had fallen into the deep, dark, cold water. The girl smirk and dived down following Matt into the deep frozen lake. I gasped. I couldn't do anything. I couldn't transformed into my wolf form. Why!
I hesitated. I couldn't leave Matthew with that bloodsucking demon! I took off my coat and jumped into the freezing water. It was dark and cold. I shuddered.
I swam deeper and deeper. Wolf vison let me see through the darkness. Then I saw blood! Red blood all over me! I panic. I swam away from the blood and saw them...

Was she...kissing him?

I swam a little closer.

And closer

And closer

What I saw next was horrifying. Matthew looked over at me. His eyes! They were different!
The moon shined over us. I could see his red eyes.
The girl smirked at me. She kissed Matthew and leaned over at his ear. He smirked and swan over at me. I shook my head.

"Matthew! This is not you!" I screamed in my head. I knew that he could hear me.

"Oh, beloved sister of mine. This is whom I'm meant to be." He ginned at me evily. No I can't loose him!

"No Matt please!"

He suddenly grabbed my neck. He was choking me under water! I tried to take his hands off of my neck. But he was stronger! I whimpered. My vision was getting blurry. Darkness suddenly started to surround me. Then I heard him whispered.

"Good night little sis. Rest well with the fishies." The girl suddenly swam over to him and kissed him again. I felt the oxygen slowly leaving my lungs. I wasn't strong enough to swim back up and I felt numb all over my body. I wanted to scream at her and rip her apart for doing this to Matt. I saw them swam back up. While I was slowly diving deeper into the lake. I couldn't move...suddenly darkeness surrounded me quickly...

I suddenly woke up gasping. I started to cough. I felt cold sweat running to my neck towards my back. I had tears in my eyes.

It was just a dream- no...it was a nightmare!

I couldn't sleep that night. Her cold stare was digging into my skin. I shuddered. I was scared to loose Matt. But I knew that he would never do that to me...or would he?

No...he wouldn't...not even if he was a vampire. He wouldn't dare to put a hand on me even if they threat him to. I sigh heavily.
I went downstairs to get myself a glass of milk. I drank it fast and looked at the clock.

2:10 am

I rubbed my eyes and plopped down in the couch. I saw the pictures of Matt and I. We had lots of memories together. I smiled to myself.

Matt would never do that. It was just a nightmare...
