it's been a month since i got my first dose of the cure for my cancer. i'm feeling a lot better and it's all because of grayson. he's the only reason i'm still here. i could not be any more great full.
and i am very great full i got to make it till today, my graduation. every since i've been diagnosed, i really never thought i would make it this far, but i did.
now i'm just standing in my room. cap and gown, makeup, hair, heels. staring at myself in the mirror.
"time flies." i say to what seems to be myself.
"glad i'm not the only one who thinks that way gorgeous." i voice says.
i turn my head to see a smirking grayson looking me up and down.
"i can't believe we finally made it." he says stepping closer to me.
"we barely did." i say inches away from his lips.
our lips intertwine as we fall onto my bed.
grayson flips me over and starts passionately kissing me.
"ehem." i hear from the doorway.
fuck. my mom.
my mom hasn't been home in about 7 months, being that she's a scientist that travels on cruises and planes to investigate new ideas.
so i never really explained grayson to her, like at all.
grayson hops off of me and gets up.
"uumm t-this is g-g-rayson, my boyfriend." i tell my mom, still staring me down.
she sticks out her hand.
"i'm grayson dolan, lisa's son from down the street." grayson informs her, shaking her hand.
"hi grayson i'm mrs.johnson, but you can just call me taylor." she says with a smile.
i go over and hug my mom after.
"awe my baby is growing up!" my mom says in a baby voice.
we all giggle.
"now is this boyfriend of yours a stealer?" my mom asks.
"mom!" i yell.
"well my room is trashed, i just wanna know who went through it." she states.
i can't believe i'm about to do this.
i held up a condom very slowly.
my mom goes wide eyed.
"it was me i was just trying to be safe." i tell my mom.
grayson looks like he's about to shit myself.
"now my baby is really growing up!" my mom says.
we all start laughing.
"see you two lovebirds at graduation!" my mom said walking out.
a little later grayson drove us to the school.
grayson looked a little nervous. whatever.
as grayson walked down the isle, he stopped as if he was going to say a speech.
"As you all i know, i would not be here without my amazing girlfriend mia johnson. she has been the best part of my life that i never wanna live without. mia i just want you to know that you deserve to be told that you are the most beautiful girl in the world. i love our late night talks, and i love the way you fall asleep on my chest. you are by far the best thing that's ever happened to me. i love you baby, so much i'm gonna do something that hopefully you'll go cry over." grayson says.
then he gets down on one knee.
"mia will you make me the actual happiest man alive, and marry me."grayson asks.
i start crying and i got up and ran onto the stage
