Special Ability [Alec Volturi]

Chapter Seven

My eyes slowly opened, groaning and feeling horrible. My body ached in every way possible and I heard voices but when I opened my eyes there was no one near me. I moved my fingers to see I could get everything to work. I pushed myself into a sitting up position, my eyes felt different. I saw everything threw a sharp tunnel vision but what I saw was something that made me forget about everything I saw feeling. Alec. Whom held a creature against a wall, holding him off the ground.

                        "Alec?" I spoke in shock. He turned his head quickly and looked at me. He let go of the creature and rushed in unbelievable speed toward me and placed his hand to my cheek as he looked down at me.

                        "Poppy? What have they done to you?" he spoke, his voice cracking. I had no idea what he was talking about but I didn't ask because before I could we heard noises from outside the operation room. "Quick. We have to leave." Alec spoke and grabbed my hand pulling me off the table and dragging me at unbelievable speed out of the room and down the halls. I looked down at our hands and noticed my fingers looking more like claws as they wrapped around Alec's wrist. It scared me. My hands were different, my eyes were different, and I was moving faster than Alec. Creatures tried to get to us but Alec hit them and pushed them away. Alec pulled me down an empty hallway but what I noticed was a reflective glass window. I looked terrifying. I looked like the very creatures that hurt me. I was horribly beautiful and a killer. I could feel my blood lust like I never had before.

            I stopped in my tracks causing Alec to stop as well. He looked at me and noticed me looking at that horrible refection. Alec tightened his grip on my hand.

                        "Don't worry, Poppy. We will find a way to get you back to normal." Alec promised me. I pulled away from Alec getting unusually angry.

                        "How do you know that?" I screamed and took a pass at him with my new claws. Alec pulled away and frowned but then pulled me into a hug before he took my hand and pulled me toward a dead end. We could hear creatures running and chasing us but Alec was confident we would get out. He gripped my wrist and broke open a window where there was a ladder leading to a fire escape in the seemingly abandoned building. He held out his hands and helped me out of the window. I stepped onto the cold metal with my bare feet in a white hospital gown. Escaping with Alec.

We climbed across the fire escape and cross the side of the building before Alec found the window he was looking for and broken in. He climbed into the window as I followed. Alec started rushing through filing cabinets searching for something.

I sat in a medical examination room that had been blocked off from the rest of the hospital in a city I am unaware of. I studied my reflection in the metal. I didn't feel the same. I felt different in every way. My body, my brain, and my teeth. I reached with my thumb to feel what was before flat hardened teeth are now vicious canines.

            I sat in silence when I heard the door crack open and Alec spoke to someone before he opened the door and let in the guest. I didn't look up from my well-formed feet.

                        "Poppy!" A familiar female voice spoke. I looked up to see Alice, smiling and running up toward me but stopping in her tracks when she really saw me. I frowned. Seeing Carlisle and Edward saunter into the room. I looked at Alec and developed an instant rage that took over my body.

                        "You brought them!" I growled and ran toward Alec grabbing him with my long claw like fingers by his neck and slamming him against the wall. I felt a power surge threw my body and into Alec as his face became blue and sucked in air like he was losing oxygen. Carlisle and Edward quickly grabbed me and pulled me away from Alec as I swung and fought allowing Alec to gain his strength back. I swung and fought till I realized what was happening and screamed in freight of myself. Edward let go of me and I fell to the floor, curling in a ball. Carlisle went to touch me but I pulled away and backed into a wall. "Don't!" I cried out. Something is wrong with me. Very very wrong.
