Hello my lovely readers! I am back with another story! Please tell me what you think of this one from this first chapter and if you like it please let me know. I really like where this one is going, at least in my head. I'm working on getting it all in words, but I like the direction I'm taking it, and I hope you do too. So please, comment and let me know what you think. Tell me what you think is going to happen next. Tell me what you would like to see.

I will warn you all though, mature content is going to be involved. This means strong language and some strong scenes will occur. Strong scenes being painfully emotional as well as passionately descriptive will be occurring throughout the story.

Get ready to be hooked to my new story that will be filled with fear and joy, despair and happiness, good times and bad times, arguments and flirting. It is going to be a story of primarily happy times, I won't lie, but there is a lot of darkness within the two main characters of the story. Clary and Jace both. They have pasts like we all do. This is a mundane version of how they will meet and how they are together. There are no seraph blades or killing demons; at least not the physical demons. Both Clary and Jace will be seen like the books didn't show them, because this is from my mind. I do not own all of the characters, but some will be introduced by me, and others you'll know from the beautiful mind of Cassandra Clare. But the plot and the writing is from my mind and heart. So, be prepared for a Clace story with some other ships here and there. Thank you for reading, and enjoy Chapter One!

Clary was running late; she had her red hair pulled up with a purple hair tie and a scarlet red bow, her bangs resting over her forehead, and she was wearing her scarlet red dress with the white polka dots and a black apron as she ran into the coffee shop. She clocked in right when the clock struck eight a.m.

Taking a deep breath, she slouched for a quick moment before getting off to work. She passed her boss at that precise moment and was stopped by his hand grabbing her arm. "Everything alright?" he asked with worry in his voice. "You never run this late. And your eyes are just a little bit on the crazy side right now."

Clary sighed and explained what happened this morning. When it was going on it was not in the least bit funny, but as she explained it to Mr. Nearly, she had to admit. It was definitely laughable. "After the pipes exploded and I got the water turned off, over half of my kitchen was flooded. I was running around trying to clean it up with towels and the mop. I was able to get the majority of it done, but I had to call a Plummer and of course he tried to swindle me out of a thousand dollars just to look at it. So, I told him to shove it—nicely said it though. Along the lines of, 'Thanks for the offer, but being that outrageously overpriced for just a consultation I might as well pay Jesus to fix the damn pipe.' And with that I hung up. I went through four different companies, each one trying the same thing because I'm a girl and they think I don't know what the hell I'm talking about before I found one that was pretty cool. And of course, by that time, I realized what time it was and was running around like a chicken with my head cut off to get everything taken care of and get here." With that Clary looked at Mr. Nearly with a smirk forming at her mouth and trying not to laugh.

It was hard not to laugh, especially when he stood there with his dark eyes watering and his face turning red from holding his breath. All in effort not to die on the floor from laughter. And he lost. Air puffed out of his lips and he leaned forward laughing at Clary who had started laughing along with him. When he righted himself, he had to wipe his eyes and try and gather himself again. With a small smile, he looked her in the eye. "That's a really good reason to be late—or almost late. Good job though, not taking that slack from those morons. Stick to your guns." Mr. Nearly laughed as he kissed the top of Clary's head, telling her that he was proud of her. It made Clary smile despite the rough morning she had.
