Chapter 1
Louville
June 25th, 2014
There's a small town in Kansas called louville. There aren't many people who live here or stay here. Louville is a small town where everybody knows everybody and families go to start a good life for their kids and couples move when they're old and grumpy. To be quite frank, it wasn't anything special.
I've lived here all my life, although I was born Oregon. It's confusing because the day after I was born my parents drove my back to Louville and they still refuse to tell me why the hell I was born 8 states away from my home.
Regardless of the fact that this town is small and boring, it is home and I couldn't ask for anything better.
Hang in there. Were getting to the good stuff.
Like any other town, there was gossip that spread like a disease and the more you knew, the better of you'd be. I never followed gossip but my best friend Sky always did so somehow I always got sucked into "the hot topic of the week."
I was quiet so I didn't talk to much of the town and I was okay with that. I talked to Sky, my mom and my dad and that's about it; other than my team members from basketball. Sky isn't your average best friend though. He's a transgender male. In case your confused he was born a female but is a male now. I don't know how we became friends. I think it was the way he stood with his hands stuffed down in his pockets in 6th grade. I did the same thing. So jean pockets started our friendship.
Now of course, because I get sucked into all the drama, today was no different...

"Pssssttt. Wyatt. Wyatt, wake up."
And that my friends is how I get woken up from my sweet and wonderful beauty sleep. I groaned into my pillow and lifted my comforter over my head.
"Leave me alone, Sky. It's a Saturday and I intend to spend it sleeping." I mumble, trying to return to my interrupted slumber.
"I don't even know if you can call it sleeping. We all know you only have wet dreams about Megan Fox."
Without looking I knew the disgusted look he was sending my way. It's the same look I get every time I say something remotely gross in Sky's world.
"Actually, last night was Jennifer Lopez." I chuckled but it was masked by my pillow that was acting as my shield to the sun.
"You are disgusting. Now, seriously you need to get your butt up so we can go to the festival and eat greasy food all day."
I thought about arguing but decided that I really was craving a nice funnel cake right now.
I mumbled a strained fine and kicked him out as I hopped in the shower before we left. I instantly felt more awake and was actually kinda glad I didn't sleep the whole day. Sighing in content I turn off the water after I'm done and go to brush my teeth. My mirror is fogged up and I wipe it clear and see my reflection looking back at me.
I wasn't attractive nor was I unattractive. My wet black hair stuck to my hair forehead and I could see my gray, almost white eyes behind the black curtain. My hair was long but not too long that I looked girly or could put it up like some guys do. I am not "scene" or "emo" of whatever the stereotype is. I just generally have dark features. It doesn't help that a lip ring clings to my bottom lip on the left. I sighed and looked away, slightly disappointed by what I saw.
Whatever you lack in appearance you make up for with your killer smile and amazing confidence. Okay, not really but still.
I slip on a dark red color shirt and roll it up to my elbows and slip into my dark wash jeans. Skipping down the stairs I enter into my kitchen to find Sky eating the rest of my Pringles.

Short StoryMy hands were shaking as I stepped into the dark room. "Hello?" I whisper almost inaudibly. Gaining more confidence I ask the blackness if anybody is there. "No." The voice says. For once in my life I was speechless. The voice sounded small a...
