Chapter 3
It's the train.
That next morning I woke up in a very uncomfortable position. My long legs didn't quite fit on the chairs cushion so they were tucked up under me and my head was off the side of the armrest. Looking over I see mystery girl fast asleep. She looked quite beautiful wrapped up in a blanket with her head tucked low. Her black hair was covering half her face, contrasting against her pale skin. I looked away feeling kind of creepy; I mean I was watching a sleeping girl without her knowing it.
Standing up I stretch and walk into the kitchen to make some coffee for the two of us. Bracing myself against the granite countertop I wait for the coffee to brew. The smell of hazelnut fills my senses and I sigh in content. The machine splutters, letting me know it's done and I pour myself a large cup. Holding it close to my mouth I take a sip and moan in pleasure due to the sheer deliciousness of the beverage.
"I wake up and walk in here to find you moaning. Are you like having sex with coffee or something?" I jump slightly and laugh when I see her bemused smirk.
"Sorry. I just really love coffee and its hazelnut. Sooo..." I draw out and try to hide my blush.
"I made you some!" I say quickly, still trying to recover from the embarrassing sound.
"Thanks." She says with a small smile. Behind those words I can see just how much more she means. Turning around I go to pick up the pillows off the floor when I hear a moan coming from the kitchen. I laugh and turn around and point accusingly at her.
"See! It's delicious!" I laugh.
She giggles and nods and continues to drink her coffee. With a smile on my face I turn around and pick up the pillows and clean up the area. After I finish I walk back into the kitchen to finish my drink.
"So what are we going to do today, mystery girl?" I ask her casually. She looks startled at first and then sad within a matter of seconds.
"Why do you want to hang out with me again?" She asks quietly.
"Because..." I answer smiling at her.
"Because why?"
"Because I like the way you blush. And I like to make you smile. Not to mention I still don't know your name." I reply, throwing her a wink. I smile at the blush that appeared on her cheeks and say very lightly.
"You’re even doing it now. See, I really like that blush." And I hear a full giggle from her and then a laugh and a smile seems to accompany it. It's as though she let go. She laughed and smiled and I wondered if I would always feel this way when she was like this.
"I don't blush." She adds playfully pouting. I laugh and grab her hand leading her to my car.
“Where are you taking me? The roads are still blocked." She asks as I open the door for her and run around the car to climb in myself.
"It's only down the road and we won't need the roads for what I have planned." I laugh and reverse out of my driveway.
After about 5 minutes we stop at the train station.
"Hey! Wyatt, my man! What's going on?" My friend Ronald came up and greeted me. Ronald runs the tours on the train and has since I was a little kid and used to come here with Lace.
"This is my friend Ronald. He's a family friend." I mumble in mystery girl’s ear.
Redirecting my attention to Ronald I see him stick out his hand for her to shake and she gently takes it.
