Chapter 3~ Party Planner

Chapter 3

Leon POV

After my date with Denese, the boys and I had another focus. We had to plan Terence’s birthday party. It was in a week and time was running out. We were originally going to have a surprise party, but we knew better than that. Last time we tried to throw him a surprise party, it didn’t quite go as planned. Here’s what happened:

**Flashback**

We were all hiding in the dark waiting for Terence to come inside. After about 5 minutes, we got tired of waiting. We couldn’t turn the lights back on because Terence could arrive at any second.

“What are y’all doing in the dark?” someone whispered to me. I couldn’t see who it was.

“We’re just waiting for Ter--wait!” That voice sounded to familiar to me. It was the birthday boy himself! He laughed hysterically and everyone else rolled their eyes.

“Turn on the lights! The surprise was ruined!” Malik said.

“You can’t get anything past me!” Terence said and laughed once more.

**End Flashback**

So, we planned the party *with* him this time. I was in charge of the guest list. We posted the flyer on Instagram, but only certain people could get the address. It was a pretty big job considering his thousands of followers. I got bored after a while, so I called Denese to see what she was up to.

*Phone Conversation*

Denese: Heyo!

Me: Hey! What’s up?

Denese: Nothin’ much! Just sitting here bored out of my mind

Me: Well how about I change that?

Denese: What do you have in mind, señor?

Me: We’re planning Terence’s birthday party and we could use some help.

Denese: Hmm...let me see if I can fit you in my schedule.

Me: But didn’t you just say you’re just sitting there bored?

Denese: Well yeah, but it’s scheduled

Me: Well, check your “schedule” and let me know if you want us to come scoop.

Denese: …….I have an timeslot opening in a few minutes if you wanna take that offer.
Me: I’d be happy to, I’ll be there in 15.

Denese: Sounds good. See you later!

Terence went with me to go pick Denese up. I think he just wanted to go see her sister. I personally think she’d be better with Chris, but I didn’t tell Terence that.

We got to her house pretty quickly, so I texted her and said we were outside. She came out almost immediately with her sister following after her.

“Do you mind if I join you guys?” Priscilla asked, “I wasn’t really doing anything at home.”

“No problem, hop in!” Terence said. We buckled up and headed back to the house to finish planning.

When we got back, everyone was still working on party preparations. But as soon as they saw Priscilla walk in, Chris and Tre’Von dropped everything and went over to her.

“Hey! What are you doing here?” Tre’Von said and gave her a hug.

“I just decided to come by and help with the ‘party prep’,” she replied.
