*Denese POV*
**Friday night**
I was pretty indecisive on what to wear. Should I go for a dress or should I wear some nice pants and a blouse?  I thought. I was digging through my whole wardrobe from Wednesday. I had
about 4 different outfit choices.

“Girl stop worrying! He'll like whatever you put on.” Priscilla assured me.

“I know, but I still want to look perfect,” I replied.

She examined all the clothes on the bed and rearranged some things and came up with the perfect outfit.

“Put this on,”she handed me a slit shirt and some ripped skinny jeans and told me to wear my high wedge heels. She then gave me a natural makeup look. We used a bit of foundation and
blush with my clear lip gloss.

I had box braids in my hair so I put half of them in a bun on the top of my head. We topped it off with my chandelier necklace.

“You looking fine af, Nese!” Priscilla said boosting really hard.

“I’m nervous as a mofo, can you tell?” I asked.

“No, I can’t. You play it off really well. Or maybe it’s just the blush hiding it,” she joked.

“Thanks, now let’s go!”I went down the stairs and went to her car. It felt like we were only in the car for 2 minutes because I was so nervous. My heart was beating out of my chest.

“Go ahead, girl!” She said like a proud mom. I got out and waved at her. She watched as I went
inside. I looked up and saw Leon. He smiled at and I smiled back. Now that I saw him, I could text Priscilla and let her know she could leave.

Leon walked up to me. “Wow, you look nice!” he said and gave me a hug.

“Thanks, you do too,” I said and smiled. He led me to the table. I sat down, but when I looked up I saw, guess who, the boys. Why did he bring them? I thought tonight would be about us.
“So, I see the boys are here too,” I said said trying no to sound annoyed. I don’t think I hid it too well because he seemed to notice.

“Oh, yeah. My bad,” he said. “They go everywhere with me, but they won’t bother us, I promise.” He looked me with bright smile.

I bet they go to the bathroom with you, too and help you wipe your butt. I thought. I wouldn’t dare say that out loud, I didn’t want him to think of me as rude on our first date.

“Well, ok then,” I smiled back because who could stay annoyed with somebody that cute?

The waiter came shortly after and we ordered our food.

“Well here’s your chance to get to know me better,” I joked.

“I guess it is,” He just smiled and with beautiful brown eyes he look deep into my eyes like he did once before. I couldn’t help but to stare back. There was a silence for a few moments until
he spoke without taking his eyes off me.

“You can tell a lot about a person from their eyes,” he began. “You have beautiful brown eyes and I can see that you’re kind and humble. I can also tell just from eyes that you can be
shy until you’re fully comfortable around someone. I’m also guessing that you’re a very loving person and maybe be even daring sometimes.

I received everything he said and thought about it. He’s actually right. I said to myself. “Wow” was the only word I could utter from my mouth.

“Yea, Chris told me that and I did some research,” he said.
We continued talking and the waiter brought us our food. As we ate, we continued to get to know each other. It felt good to just talk to him without other people around. I got to see him being his true self. I almost forgot the boys were there. I tried my best to forget about them and devote my time to Leon, but he kept mentioning them. My bros did this, my bros did that. It seemed as if he never did anything without them a day in his life.
When we finished eating, the bill came.
