You're leaving, and again I feel like a piece of me is being pulled away
Again and again, I can't mistake this feeling of ache and sorrow
I love you, and I want you to know that I want you to stay
But you can't Nothing is ever so simple
A mother to me, you've been there after the grief
That's your reason for being here in the first place
I want you to know how much you've given me
How much it helped me pick up the burdens and continue to walk along the road that I got lost on
How you made me feel special, and cared for and got rid of that icy cold throb in my heart that's been there forever
And it wants to come back
But I won't
Because I don't want you to worry
I won't let our training be in vain
I can be the strong individual you want me to be
Because I love you.

A poem written for my counselor. I'm really close to her, and she recently had to leave due to another job opening. I'm glad that she liked it before she left.
