~Carlos' POV~ ~1 week later~
"You don't know that for sure. He said his knowledge of it was just okay," Sazana responded after I told her what Doug had said. I hadn't been able to see her all week because she was busy helping 'Queen' Audri prepare for the wedding.
"Well, I don't want to take any chances just in case he is right," I defended and she stands up from her spot on the couch.
"So you're saying that going back in time again to undo all of this, for the second time, is impossible?" She said and I nodded. "Oh my goodness, this is so frustrating!"
"I just don't understand this still. Has this happened to anyone else you have helped go back in time?" I asked.
"Well, obviously not, I would know what to do then!" She responded, clearly frustrated with the whole situation.
Knock Knock Knock
Three simple knocks interrupted us from the current conversation. Sazana raced to the door and when she opened it I was surprised to see Ben standing there. He had been really busy with being King so seeing him was a rarity.
"King Ben? What can I do for you?" She responds in a more proper tone.
"It's Audri, she's going crazy upstairs with all of the wedding stuff and she's not listening to me, I was hoping you could go and calm her down and help her, I've tried everything." He said in a haste. He seemed frustrated and tired as well, but you could tell he was trying to hold it all together.
"Oh my, of course I can!" With that, she ran out of the house and towards the castle, leaving Ben and I in the small house alone. I guess he didn't realize I was there because he jumped when he saw me move.
"Oh, hello again, Carlos. I haven't seen you in a while," He said, obviously trying to put himself together more than he just was in front of Sazana.
"Yeah, you're a busy man." He chuckled in response.
"You have no idea, I mean with this wedding and taking care of all of the kingdom's problems I guess I can just forget about a social life." He said with a fake amused smile.
Something was wrong, this wasn't the same Ben that I met last time, and I don't think it's just because of the stress. He just seems generally... unhappy?
"Why don't you try to take a break every now and then? I mean I'm sure your father was never this stressed and busy all the time." I responded and he snorted, actually snorted!
"I tried that when I first became king! The entire kingdom nearly fell apart when I wasn't there, my father had to help me get things back in order, and ever since then I haven't had a break since."
~With Mal, Jay, and Evie~ ~My POV~
"Hey, Evie what's wrong?" Mal had asked Evie. For the past week, Evie hadn't stopped thinking about what had happened when she was with Dizzy. What scared her even more was the fact that she doesn't remember the memory at all. She can see herself there at King's Kones but there's no context with it. "Evie!"
Mal snapped Evie out of her trance like state and Evie looked up at her.
"Oh sorry," Evie said with a small smile. Mal and Jay could tell she was off.
"Evie, what's wrong?" Jay asked sympathetically. That was all it took for Evie to confess what was going through her mind.
"Do you guys ever have those moments of Deja Vu, but it just feels so real? Like what you're experiencing has happened before??" Evie asked them and both Mal and Jay looked at each other. "What? What is it??"
