Chapter 18: Dragon Boy [1]

Shen Zuobi looked at the little boy was running from the guard and was going to move on with his searching when his system gave him very important information.

[That little boy who is running away from the guard. His name is Feng Ballian. He is the son of an Egarot and a Congsu. That's why his name is both English and Chinese to you.]

"Okay. I don't know why that should have any significance to me?" Shen Zuobi had a feeling in his guts that this kid running from the guard was going to be someone big in the future because if the system took the time to give any information about him, then he is probably a cliche character in Egaroth.

[He is very significant to this world. In the wrong hands, he could be the end of this world Egaroth. And just because I read your mind, no. Egarot is not the Egaroth equivalent of English people. It's actually the opposite.]

Shen Zuobi wondered why in the world this was so. Just the name Egarot sounded so English to him. The name Congsu was also very Asian sounding. 

[This kid Feng Ballian, is very weak at this moment but the moment he turns 5 years old, rather than becoming Mortal 1st-Rank like a normal child, he will immediately become Mortal Master 1st-Rank.]

Shen Zuobi didn't want to hear anything else. He ran towards Feng Ballian and used his Illusion power to make him and the kid disappear. The guard stopped running after the kid because he lost him.

With his actually hand, he stopped the kid in his tracks and he was completely immobilized because Shen Zuobi was after all, as strong as a Mortal 1st-Rank and Feng Billian wasn't even 5 yet so there was nothing he could do. "Be silent little boy. You're currently hidden from the guard but the moment you get too far away from me, the invisibility will no longer apply to you."

He released Feng Ballian and noticed a red shimmer in his eyes. Although this was very strange, Shen Zuobi knew that this little kid was going to be strange when he heard about him from the system.

"Follow me. I'll take you to a safe place Feng Ballian." Shen Zuobi began walking and only fastened his pace when he saw through his actual eyes that Feng Ballian was following him. His Illusion never looked back in order to add a mystic element to him.

As Feng Ballian walked along with him, he asked many questions. He wondered how Shen Zuobi knew his name, why he saved him, and how he was able to perform this spell that made them invisible.

Shen Zuobi of course, to trick this little kid into his plan, he decided to not say anything. His plan was going to turn this little kid into a loyal follower that would die at his command. It sounded demented but he knew that if he was to conquer the world, he needed people like that.

He didn't read too many light novels but he sure did watch quite a bit of anime and after a while, all he watched was reincarnation anime. Some of them, the main character was super weak, others super strong. Some of them were evil, while others were way too nice. However most of them had something in common, they had a friend or subordinate that was willing to die for them.

But there was exceptions. And those exceptions always ended with the main character becoming evil and losing their humanity and Shen Zuobi wanted none of that.

Shen Zuobi stopped when they got to the city walls and he deactivated his Illusion when he knew that nobody could see them pop out of nowhere. He turned around to look at Feng Ballian and indicated that he should follow him. As they walked into the forest, Shen Zuobi looked for a good spot that was safe from other humans and from monsters.

As he walked down the forest, he noticed that the amount of air he felt run against his face getting stronger and stronger.

'What's up with this forest. [System], does the increasing of air strength represent the increase of Essense Qi.'
