Water Fight!

Shadow's P.O.V.

Rouge was the first to speak.

"OH MY GOSH, THAT WAS SOO HOT!"

Shadow just stared blankly at the wall. I just kissed Sonic. And it felt good.

Meanwhile, Sonic had covered his crimson face with a blanket. His ears were so hot they were almost smoldering.

Shadow turned to the others. "Pick your jaws up off the ground. It was just a game, anyways."

Almost as soon as he said that, Sonic removed the pillow. Shadow may have imagined it, but the emerald eyes held a glint of sadness.

Then, as quick as a flash, it was gone. Sonic nodded his head. "You didn't stare at Knuckles and Rouge like that! Like Shadow said, it's just a game. Calm down, people."

Everyone just stared more.

"Um....Do we want to continue, or do something else?" Silver asked, breaking the ice.

Amy still hadn't moved from her stupor. Why should MY Sonniku want anything to do with him?

"Let's do a water fight! I brought water guns with Silver." Tails piped up.

"Sure, Tails! We can stay out pretty late." Blaze stood up, and removed her hands from over Cream's eyes. "Sonic, you coming? You too, Shadow."

"Well, maybe no-"

"Come on faker. It's not like you're swimming. It's only a little bit of water. You chicken?" Shadow crossed his arms, standing.

"Never!" Sonic popped up immediately. "Race you to the backyard, Shadz!"

Zooming out into Amy's large backyard, the two blurs stopped in front of the back fence.

Both yelled, "I WON!" at the exact same time.

Sonic flopped down on the lush, green grass. "I still think I beat you, Shadz."

Moments later the rest of the gang came out. Silver was floating the hose around to the back, and also levitating the bag of water guns, and water balloons towards the pair.

"ALRIGHT! LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTEDDD!" Rouge had hidden two large balloons behind her wings. She hurled them full force at the first person she saw, which was an unlucky Tails. Soaked from head to toe, the kitsune loaded his water gun, and blasted Rouge in the face. Shadow grabbed multiple balloons, and socked Knuckles in the face. Then, Knuckles turned the hose on and completely drenched the ebony agent in water.

Sonic stood in the corner, until Blaze and Amy ambushed him. With a huge squirt gun from Blaze, and a load of kisses from Amy, Sonic was left soaked, and stunned. Shaking his head, he leaped into battle with a large grin stretched across his face.

Soon, a shadow darkened the yard.

All the mobians looked up to see what looked like a balloon armageddon. Silver had taken almost a thousand balloons, and had floated them up into the air. With a small pop, he released them.

Everyone under him got covered completely with freezing water. All of the victims made a silent pact: Team up on Silver.

So, from every angle possible came jets of cold water, and exploding water balloons. There was not a single inch of dry fur on poor Silver, who couldn't block all the attacks at once.

Silver and Cream counterattacked with another barrage of balloons, which were received with outrage, and laughter. Adrenaline coursed through everyone, creating a competitive atmosphere.

When it came to the overall strategy, some people got it easy. With a large fireball, Blaze could evaporate water instantaneously. Cream, Rouge and Tails could fly, giving them the overhead advantage. Shadow could teleport, creating many opportunities for sneak attacks.

Others, like Sonic, Knuckles, and Amy, had no such luck. Sonic's speed couldn't do too much against water, and Knuckles and Amy couldn't physically punch the water away, therefore all three were fighting to no avail.

Shadow found himself enjoying the fight. He had first thought of the water battle as a useless waste of time. Boy, he was wrong. His mood reached a peak after splashing Sonic straight in the face, and then racing off with a raging hedgehog on his tail.

After almost two hours of merciless fighting, the ground was littered with balloon scraps, ashes, and broken water guns. Silver quickly lifted all the junk away, and smashed it into a trash can, leaving the yard spotless. Blaze used her power to dry everyone's fur, and Cream kindly fixed snacks for everyone.

"What do we want to do next?" Knuckles asked.

Sonic looked at the clock. It only read 8:51. He grinned.

"Who's up for Just Dance?"
