Chapter Twelve – Friday Night Dates

Every Friday since Cory and I’s date, we have gone on dates. Friday has become date night for us. We would also spend time together after school. He would come over my house, hang out. Then go to his house and shower, come back to get me and we went on our date. Other Fridays he would just bring his clothes with him and then take a shower at my house.

Our relationship has been going great. I really think these Friday night dates are doing us some justice.

Today happened to be Friday. I got up and went into my closet. I needed to find something to wear to school and for date night. I would probably wait until later for the date night outfit.

For school, I picked out :

-Distressed Jeans

-White tank top

-Black Hoodie

-Black Toms

-Silver chain

-Silver studs

-Black cross body bag

I laid everything out on the bed and went into the bathroom. I stripped out of my clothes and got into the shower. I bathed with my new sunflower body wash.

The day after my dad arrived, we went shopping. My dad bought my mom and I a whole bunch of things. He said that he missed out on buying us things and that he needed to make it up to us. I didn’t really care but he insisted so my mom and I took it to our advantage.

Anyways, after I showered, I got out the shower and dried off. I put sunflower lotion all on my body. Then I got dressed. I grabbed my phone and keys. When I got downstairs Rae’s whole family was downstairs. It had become a little, what should I say, ‘tradition’. Every since my dad got home, they have been coming over every Friday morning. Wow, have you noticed everything happens on Fridays.

I put my bag on the couch and went to sit down. As I was walking to my seat I greeted everyone. Everyone answered back with a good morning. My mom laid the food out with the help of Rae’s mom.

Once all the food was out, we prayed and dug in. While having breakfast, we talked about how was our week.

“My week was interesting “Rae said

“I agree” I replied nodding my head.

“What happened” Rae’s dad asked us.

We began telling them what happened.

On Monday, Meagan came to school in these short shorts and a so called crop top. The so call crop top was more like a bandeau. She got written up. School policy states that no skin from the chest to the middle of the knee could be shown.

I guess her getting written up pissed her off. She should have known she couldn’t wear that. Anyways she came to class mad. A little after the bell had rung and the substitute teacher came in, a smirk appeared on her face.

In my head I’m like wasn’t she just pissed off now she happy. Something told me that something was about to go down.  A few minutes later, she got out her seat. My eyes followed her. She came over to the seat next to me where Cory was sitting. There was an empty seat next to Cory. Usually Zoe sits there but he was running late.

I rolled my eyes. My breathing started picking up. She was trying to piss me off. I’m not even trying to put my hands on this little girl today. Cory turned and looked at me with his eyes wide. I gave him that ‘don’t look at me’ look. He turned around.

Meagan started touching on Cory. Cory kept pushing her away. Every time he moved her hand, she put it right back. Cory turned back and looked at me. He looked like he feared for his life.

I just stared. Meagan turned to me smirked and then winked at me. I really needed to get up out of here before I lay hands on her.

“He likes it” Meagan said to me.

“Where’s your security” I asked.

She stopped smirking as soon as I said that. She got up and went back to her seat. I didn’t hear a word from her after that.

The next day, we were all walking into school. We had just been hanging out in our spot. As we were walking, all of a sudden Cory is being pulled on. We both turned to see what the problem was. It was Meagan. She grabbed Cory by his shirt and pulled him down. Next thing I know her lips is on him.

Yall already know oh hell done broke loose. I wasn’t that far from her either. As soon as I was about to grab her, I feel people pulling me away. I started kicking and punching people. Its not gone go down like that.

People were dragging me away. I ended up in the girl’s bathroom in a stall with Kayla, Laila, Keisha and Rae. They were all trying to calm me down.

“Chill” Laila said

“She tried it” I said pacing back and forward.

“I know but you need to relax” Keisha said

“She trying to get a reaction out of you” Kayla added.

“And you not gone give her that” Rae said.

After a couple of minutes, I was calmed. We were all late for class. We headed to the office. When we got there, the front lady was asking us all these questions. She finally gave us our paper. We left and went to class.

All week long Meagan had been testing my patience. I decided to just kill the chick with kindness. That’s the best way to get at somebody. Kill them with kindness. Don’t let anybody get the best of you; in the end you gone get rewarded.

After Rae and I were done telling this week events, my mom expression was mixed. She looked pissed off and ready to fight.

“I don’t like this chick” my mom said.

“This same girl you got in a fight with” My dad asked.

I nodded my head.

After breakfast we all went our separate ways. Rae and I headed to pick up Cory and Judas. Cory was the first one I picked up. His house wasn’t to far from ours. He came to the car and greeted me with a kiss.

Before you gone in, I’m not mad a Cory for what happened. The chick is just too thirsty. When we got home, I made sure his mouth and lips was clean though. I promise you I put him through hell scrubbing his mouth from top to bottom. You would have mistaken me for a dentist.

Anyways he got in the passenger seat. Rae sat in the back so that her and Judas could be together while Cory and I were together. Cory settled into the car and I backed out. Then I headed to Judas house. I got to his house. He greeted everyone and got into the back. To school we went.

We got to school in 30 minutes. Judas lived 20 minutes away. Anyways we got out and went to our spot. We greeted each other. Soon the bell rung, we went to class.

The rest of the day went by in a blur. After school, I dropped both Rae and Judas at Rae’s house. They were doing their own little thing tonight. Cory and I went to my house that was just a few houses down from Rae’s.

I went to my room while Cory went to the guest bathroom. I am actually surprised that my dad even let Cory in the house let alone walk around in it and have his own little room. The guest room has a few of Cory’s things in it.

Anyways, I went to my closet to pick our something to wear. I picked out something easy and simple.

Outfit:

-Black with white outline clutch

*All the items came from the same collection, hence why they all match so perfectly. They were made for each other J

After I was done with my outfit, I went and took a shower. I got out and got dressed. An hour later, both Cory and I were headed out the door. We had dinner at a nice little diner.
