Sienna slammed into me, leaving me breathless. Her fingernails clawed at my face before I could react. Quickly I squirmed out from under her and stood up. Enraged, she attempted to punch me, but I quickly sidestepped and she lost her balance and fell. She didn't realize I was tough, and had been taught how to fight.. but right now, I saw no need to."Look, I don't want to fight you, okay?" I said calmly, holding my hands up and slowly backing away. A crowd had gathered around, but no one stepped in to hold Sienna back. Max was simply staring in shock.
Sienna lunged at me again and I quickly stuck my hand out. Her nose slammed into it and she yelped tumbling onto me. She furiously scratched at my face. I flipped her over and accidentally stepped on her stomach as I stood up. Oops, that was not purposeful. Why did she keep attacking me? Any silly problems she had were with Max, not me.
I fleetingly saw Luna and Jake in the crowd before Sienna tried to kick me in the shins. I grabbed her leg and twisted it so that she fell down... again. Jake and Luna were running towards us. They grabbed ahold of Sienna before she could lunge at me again. Sienna pulled against them, trying to get at me, her lips pulled into an unattractive snarl. Max, after finally shaking the shock off, ran over to me.
"Oh my God, did she hurt you?" he said and I could see genuine concern in his eyes.
"No, I'm all right. She's crazy, I can't believe you dated her," I said, shaking my head. Max wrapped an arm around me and I smiled gratefully.
"You filthy, conniving bitch. You're a piece of scum! Why he-" Sienna was growling, blood running down her face, but I cut her off."I think I get the point, Sienna," I said, laughing light-heartedly. This infuriated her even more. Luna chuckled. One of Sienna's minions rushed over and took her from Luna and Jake, murmuring rapidly to her. Max and I walked over to them then.
"Thanks for that," I said, smiling gratefully. What I would have done if nobody had stopped Sienna, I had no idea. I probably would've ended up knocking her out.
"I'm so sorry, Bella. I should have helped. I was just so shocked. Please for-" Max was gushing. I cut him off with a peck to the lips. I smirked at everyone's reaction. Sienna started growling ferociously.
In the crowd, I saw Peter. What was he doing here? He sported a sad look, and I felt the urge to go and comfort him. Wait, what? Where did that come from? I shook those thoughts from my head and returned my attention to my friends.
"Come on, let's go dance," I said cheerfully. Everyone agreed and we made our way through the crowd, which was already breaking up. So I went inside with my friends and we danced the night away. Everything ended up all right. For now, at least.
