Finding a boyfriend had always been pretty easy for me, though they never lasted longer than five months. The truth was, I got bored. I've been through the jocks, the swag dudes and everything in between, and none of them seem to keep me interested. so I go to school everyday, watching the endless couples kissing and cuddling while I stand alone in my never ending miserable atmosphere.

I walked into the locker area to see the smiling face of Carter. Although he's one of my very best friends, Ohhh what a flirt he is.

"hey loser, how's it goin'" said carter, nonchalantly grabbing my waist.

He obviously thinks I don't realize it but I quickly moved position so his hands fall off. I'm not ready for anything with him, he'll just hurt me again.

"Hey creep" I said, and turned around to meet my other friends.

In front of me stood Asia, Jules, Gabi, and Jordan. These four girls are my best friends and have been for two years. Behind them stood Jake, the guy whom everyone agrees is the boy version of me. We are actually very alike, we're musicians, snowboarders and both weird to a point where people question our sanity. Unfortunately, but fortunately as well, he's one of the guys that I fell for, except it all ended well and we became best friends in the end. He is now happily dating Jordan.

The first three periods went by very fast as it was the last day of school and the last period was a free one. As I got out of my third period French class I could feel the excitement in the air, the other students buzzing around grabbing their best friends, boyfriends

and so on. I however went straight outside. Grad students were setting up for the grad festival, which due to lack of time this year, will fail miserably in my opinion.

I walked further out to the baseball field to sit on my own. On the way there, my eyes met with a familiar stranger. A cute familiar stranger. I had seen him before around school but had never talked to him, nor did I know his name. All I knew was he was graduating this year, so I knew I probably would never know.

So walked by the guy and sat down in the cool grass. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the peace and quiet noises of summer.

I could faintly hear the birds...and the rustling leaves in the wind..

And Jakes loud obnoxious voice in my ear??

"HEYY LOOONNERRRR!"

And just like that, the peace was disrupted.
