"You've never even read it! how could you possibly know! not trying to be all cliché or anything but don't judge a book by it's cover."

I said to Lukas on the phone. I was enjoying another one of our two hour daily chats. This time we were in a thoughtful discussion about the book "The fault in our stars".

"Its a book for chicks, full of drama and romance" he replied in his deep voice

"You have to at least read it! pleaasssee for me?" I pleaded, as I popped another m&m into my mouth.

"I'll see, if you're nice, and you are seriously addicted to those things you know?" He said chuckling.

"yay!" I said crunching. "and what are you talking about, I'm not even eating anything?"

"Alex, I can hear you crunching, don't try to fool me" he accused

"okay, whatever they're good. your opinion is meaningless"

"What do you say about me taking you out Friday night and I'll buy you as many bags of m&ms as you desire?"

I could barely contain my shock, thank god we were on the phone so he couldn't see my redening cheeks. I quickly replied jokingly trying to hide my excitement.

"Lukas bieremont, are you asking me on a date!" I exclaimed feigning shock.

I didn't realize until he replied that he was embarrassed

"Umm yeah, if you don't mind.. we could go as like, friends if you want" he replied timidly.

It made my heart flutter knowing that he was actually shy with me, that meant he cared..

"I'd love to, I gotta go now I'm getting tired. I'll call you tomorrow Luke." I said yawning

"Okay, night Alex, sleep well" He said and hung up.

I looked over from my bed to my alarm to see it was already two in the morning. How time flies when I talk to this guy.. The fact that he asked me on a date gave me butterflies, I've never actually met him in person but the way he talked to me just gave me such a nice feeling.

I pulled the covers over me and reached over to turn off the lights, drifting off to sleep with Lukas on my mind.
