chapter 3

I was almost to the well, just a couple more feet and I would be home in no time. I could sense Inuyasha and Kikyo close by meaning it wouldn't take them allot of time to sense me as well. So picked up my pace and ran towards the well, jumping in it as fast as I could.

I was surrounded by the usual blueish purplish glow. In a blink of an eye I was back home in my time.

Before I climbed the ladder I knew I had to come up with a story as to why I look like I was crying. Good thing my family was gullible, cause I am not good at lying, especially to my family. I put my backpack done and looked through it for a bandage to put on my hand to make it look like I was crying because of a cut. When I was finished I climbed up the ladder and walked home.

"I'M HOME"I yelled once I entered the house.

''Were in the kitchen"

"Welcome home Kagome" my mother said once I entered the kitchen."welcome back" sota and grandpa said together. "what happened to you"sota asked looking at my red and puffy eyes.

I told them that I cut myself while I was in the feudal era and showed them my bandaged hand to convince them.sota and grandpa believed me (gullible as always) but when i looked at my mom I could tell she could see right through my lie like glass. After all she was my mother.... moms are able to detect if there child is lying to them.  I gave her the i'll tell you later look and all she did was nod and returned back to what she was doing.

I told them that I was only staying for one night and was leaving in the morning. After talking to them a little I went up to my room and  dumped all the contents of my bag out. I put in some things I might need while I was in the feudal era like a first aid kit , clothing, etc. I also packed  two small containers one with white paint and the other with red along with a paint brush.

When I was done ....I went back to the kitchen to eat dinner with the rest of my family. while we ate we had small talk. It reminded me of all the times we sat together in the past. If only I could go back in time and stop myself from going through that well. I wouldn't have met Inuyasha and fallen in love with him and would be happy here with my friends and family.

After dinner and cleaning up I went back upstairs to take a bath. As I dipped myself in the warm water I felt tingles run all over my body. I stayed in there a little while longer than needed just so that I could clear my head. When I was finished I went back to my room so that I could fall asleep. As sleep was about to consume me there was a knock on my door.

In came my mother. I was so consumed in my thoughts i completely forgot i was supposed to tell her what happened. I couldn't pretend like I was sleeping (completely a bad actor)so all I did was sit up. I then began to tell her what happened while in the feudal era for the second time today as best as I could. (chapter 1 & 2). Once we were finished with our little conversation went to sleep.

When I woke up from my dreamless sleep, I only then realized how tired i was. I got dressed, grabbed my book bag and was about to run out the door when I herd my name being called.

"kagome"my mother called

"yes mom"

"your forgetting something"

"coming"

"yes mom" I said looking at her once I reached the kitchen.

"I made you a bentos for you and your friends and ..... the two other two just in case"(she is a life saver)she knew exactly how i felt about inuyasha and kikyo after yesterday and knew better that to say there names.

"Thanks mom,your a life saver, love you"I said kissing her on the cheek along with sota and grandpa before leaving with the bentos.

Once I got back to the feudal era something in my head was telling me to go back home but I pushed it to the back of my head. When I got out of the well waiting for me was sango,shippo,miroku,and kirara making me to smile. As we walked back to lady kaede's hut we had small talk but that stupid voice in my head kept on coming back telling me to go back and to stay away from the hut.

I ended up being the first person to enter the hut . What  I saw when I walked almost made me want to beat the shit out of everyone around me. There in the corner was Inuyasha making out with kikyo. SHIT ! Now I wished I had listen to that voice in my head.
