A/N: the story was moving too slowly so I've skipped the first library session because I don't think it's critical to the plot. I'm just going to write what happened as the boys talking to their friends.
🌻🌻🌻
"Jimin the boys been harassing you for the past two days and you're telling me he isn't that bad"
Jungkook was fuming.
He just wanted to shake sense into Jimin.
"It wasn't so bad kookie, we just did homework and I even managed to talk a little bit"
Taehyung had his arm draped around his boyfriend's shoulder to hold Jungkook back.
"He's an utter tool Jimin, Taehyung back me up here"
There was a slight tension in the air.
Sure the boys sometimes argued but never over anything more than that to get for lunch.
"Sorry Kook but Yoongi doesn't seem as bad as before"
Jimin nodded in agreement.
"He's just a bit rough around the edges, but he's a nice guy"
Jungkook huffed and crossed his arms.
"Jungkook you're like a grumpy child"
"Shut up Taehyung this is serious"
"Baby Jungkook would be adorable"
"I know right"
Jungkook stomped his foot against the curb.
"Listen to me"
"Why it's not a big deal anymore, Jimin is happy with what's happening now, which a rarity so let's just let him figure this out for himself"
Jimin packed his books from his locker into his bag and handed Jungkook his sketch book.
"He spent ten minutes trying to draw me a picture of Keith from Voltron because I said he was my favorite.. I don't think he's a bad guy"
Jungkook flicked through until he reached the drawing.
"It's even worse than my drawing but it's a cute gesture I guess "
Jimin shoved the sketch book back into his bag.
"I've to go to be library now to help Yoongi with some homework and to go over his test so if you don't mind I'll be leaving now"
The last Jungkook and Taehyung saw of Jimin that day was him turning the corner into the library.
"You're an utter prat Jungkook, if Jimin's becoming comfortable with someone else other than us we should encourage him"
Jungkook stared at his feet, slightly ashamed.
"He's just going to be hurt"
Taehyung sighed, "maybe but at least it'll show him he can talk to new people"

"Hoseok, he is so quiet I swear he's only spoken three words"
Yoongi was telling his friend about his time with Jimin the day before.
"What's the point of having someone who's too shy to talk giving you tuition"
The thought hadn't occurred to Yoongi that Jimin wasn't his only option for help.
"Well even though he doesn't talk he's managed to help me anyways and I think he's starting to feel more comfortable"
"And he's cute" Hoseok pipped up
Yoongi lowered his head to hide the blushing rushing to his cheeks.
"Yeah that too"
Yoongi knew he was about as straight as a circle but he'd rather not have feelings for anyone while he was still in school.
The idea of anyone in this hell hole finding out that he was bi was slightly terrifying.
He had an image to hold up after all.
Jin didnt have the ability to keep a secret so Yoongi had him convinced he was as straight as ruler.
His parents wouldn't care but somehow that didn't make it any easier for Yoongi to tell them.
It was easy to convince himself he was only interested in Jimin as a tutor/friend at best.
"I'm just kidding tomato boy, chill out"

The next library session went well.
Jimin helped with multiple questions Yoongi had about his test.
Yoongi agreed to sign Jimin's instrument sheet... Only if he would actually learn a little bit of piano.
Everything was going well.
"So just add those and you should have the answer"
Yoongi stared down at the paper, trying to figure the sum out.
"I've a fuck ton of letters and some sign I don't understand"
Jimin giggled slightly and Yoongi smiled because it was a nice sound.
"You shouldn't have any letters, here let me figure it out and I'll go through it with you again"
Yoongi slid the paper to Jimin and rested his chin on his hands.
He watched Jimin scribble away, his eyes focused.
Yoongi swore he could he his thoughts working away inside his head.
"So again you just add these two and that should be the answer"
Yoongi scolded himself, he had missed everything Jimin had said.
The boys words were precious, he rarely spoke and he was finally talking but Yoongi had zoned out.
"Do you get it now"
Yoongi shook his head, he was upset with himself for not paying attention.
"I wish I could say I do but honestly I can't pay attention"
Jimin sunk down into his chair a little and sighed.
"Twelve year olds are easier to teach"
Yoongi raised an eyebrow, "you teach other people?"
"Yeah I teach primary school kids maths and I teach elderly people art"
"Then why was it so difficult to help me then? I thought you struggled with social stuff"
Jimin smiled slightly, "I'm good with people older than me and younger than me, people my age are where I struggle, they have expectations of me and what I should be like"
Yoongi was taken aback by this, Jimin had a lot to say and Yoongi wanted to hear all of it.
"That's the most you've spoken"
"I'm sorry I got carried away"
Yoongi grabbed Jimin's hand, "no no I want to hear what you have to say"
Jimin's cheeks flushed slightly.
"I think I blush too much sorry"
Yoongi felt himself blush a bit too, he liked hearing Jimin say his name.
"I guess you do"
