Mistakes Of The Past

Calming Down

  Ruby sat crying in Weiss's embrace holding her tightly trying to comfort her after what happened . No one was expecting the news that Ruby had just delivered them and the rest of them were trying to decide , what exactly are we supposed to do now . Nora started out first placing her hand on Ruby's shoulder and briefly giving a hug to her and Weiss . 

  The rest of the group was just trying to establish what to do now . Nora was trying to help Weiss comfort Ruby , while boys were standing there trying to figure out what to do . After a few moments Weiss finally spoke quietly to Ruby . '' I'm sorry Ruby , I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you '' she said .

'' That is kind of insane '' Oscar finally says .

'' No kidding '' Jaune says still watching the three girls . They had let Blake and Yang go off and do what they wanted as they were all pretty sure that Blake was the only one who could keep Yang from murdering Qrow . Despite the pain it might cause Ruby , Qrow did need to come back and talk to Ruby . Things needed to be explained , for a lot of reasons . 

  Ruby was very upset now and it felt like everything she had known had been a lie . Taiyang wasn't her father . Yang wasn't her sister . The only thing she still knew was that Summer Rose was her mother , and she had been dead for several years now . She only had Qrow who was apparently her father . Her emotions were on high wire right now and she just continued crying .

  Weiss felt terrible for Ruby , she couldn't imagine the pain Ruby was going through knowing that most of her family tree was a complete lie . She held Ruby closer in an attempt to comfort her and calm her down through this terrifying incident . Nora rubbed Ruby's back trying to calm her down as Weiss held her . 

  Jaune then made the executive decision that someone needed to tell Taiyang what was going on . Even if he wasn't Ruby's father , he was her uncle now if he was getting those relations right , and he needed to come here and explain things or do something to help the situation .

  He picked up his scroll and scrolled through the contacts to find Taiyang , whose scroll number he had gotten while he was there with Ruby , he pressed the contact and waited for Taiyang to pick up . After several moments Taiyang answered the scroll , wondering why Jaune was the one calling him . 

'' Hello '' he said sounding confused and worried . Had something happened ?

'' Um , hi Taiyang '' he said .

'' Hello , Jaune , why exactly are you calling me ? '' he asked .

'' Um '' Jaune paused trying to choose his words of what to say '' Ruby needs you to come here now '' he says . 

He heard a clank of Tai dropping something he must have been carrying . '' Why what happened to her ? '' he asked .

'' Um , she's just going through a really tough time right now after something that happened and I think it would help her if you came here '' Jaune said .

'' Okay , okay , what happened ? '' he asked .

'' Um , I don't know if I know how to explain that over the phone '' Jaune says truthfully .

'' Okay , okay - i'll be there within a few days '' Taiyang said quickly .

'' Okay , then '' Jaune said before Taiyang quickly hung up .

Needless to say Taiyang was in for the shock of his life when he got there .
