Madison's POV

I was trapped in the memory. It kept on playing over and over again. There was nothing I could do. I couldn't get out.

Madison...

"Who said that?" I said cautiously.

You have to get out...

"Who said that?!" I repeated.

You know who I am. You have to get out.

"Who are you? And how do I get out?" I asked. Wait...did I just speak to a spirit? Wow, life has gotten so weird these days.

"Hello?" I asked.

Find the fire within...

"Okay," I said. "But how?"

No answer.

When I saw the memory for about the millionth time, a little lightbulb went off in my head. The memory was about to replay again. When the blast was about to hit Lauren, I ran in front of her. The witches' expressions were so funny, it was all I could to bite my lip to keep myself from laughing out loud.

The blast hit, but instead of pain, I only felt...a warmth. A light surrounded Lauren and me, and we were immediately transported to a lush forest.

"Thank you," Lauren said. "Who are you? You look a lot like my sister, Madison."

The land started to shake. The entire story was all too hard to explain. I smiled warmly at her, and Lauren and the rest of the world disappeared.
