Chapter Seven

The Big Trail Ride

"Caitlin. Caitlin!" I whispered into her ear.

"What?" She groaned.

"Let's go,for a ride!" I squealed happily.

"Alright!"

I sprinted into the bathroom, got dressed into dark denim jeans, a purple checked shirt, put my long blonde hair into a messy bun.

Caitlin was knocking on the bathroom door, screaming for me to get out.

When she stopped screaming I got out of the bathroom.

I went down stairs to get some breakfast, and some lunch for the trail ride.

"What's for breakfast?" She asked hungrily.

"I'm having Coco Pops, you?"

"Mmm....." She was thinking hard.

I chuckled to myself.

"What are you laughing at!" She pouted.

"Nothing!" I giggled.

"I'll have toast with ham and cheese"

"Ok" I grinned.

"Good morning girls!"

"Morning Dad!" I said happily.

"Morning Mr. McLeod" Caitlin always called Dad, Mr. McLeod.

"Where are you guys going?" He asked.

"Caitlin and I are taking Midnight and StarBurst out on the Creek Trail"

"Ok, be back bye three so you can work Mocha and Toby"

"Bye Dad!" I yelled, half way out the door.

******************************************************************************************************************************

"Wow the scenery is amazing!" Caitlin spoke amazed, even though she had been on this trail many times.

We had been riding for an hour.

"Race you to the top!" I said.

I galloped off three feet in front.

"Midnight and I are winning!" I yelled, trying to be a bit cocky.

We reached the top waiting for Caitlin and Midinght.

"Good race" Caitlin said, breathless.

I giggled.

We unsaddled the horses leaving them to eat some grass.

I took out my IPhone, and called Jenna.

*Ring Ring*

"Hey Jenna!"

"Hey Sarah!" She squeeled.

"Hey Jenna!" Caitlin screamed.

"Caitlin?!" She spoke as if she was in disbelieve.

"Just wondering if you want to come over since it's Saturday?" I spoke with hope.

"Yeah, do I bring StarLight?"

"Yeah, Caitlin and I will meet you half way"

"Alright see you in ten!"

She hung up.

"Let's get these wild horses saddled up" I giggled.

Within five minutes we were saddled up, and on the road.
