A/N: So yes the last chapter was chapter 22. If you would like me write the sequel either vote or comment on this preview of chapter 1 or if you think the ending of "There's a Difference" is enough let me know in the comments.
Also, just to let you know, I'm starting a book called "Misfortunate Miracle".
It had been a year since I last seen Nikita. Everything that reminded me of her was sold and her pictures packed away. Not much had change except my self respect. I still worked at my job as a waitress. I still lived with Kitty. I was still heartbroken.
Nope nothing had change. I just worked and went home. This time however Kitty was waiting for me in my room blocking my safe place: my bed. "What do you want Kitty?" I groaned. I wanted nothing more then to sleep. Why was she bothering me? She knew this was me time. I earned it.
"You are not going to soak in your bed. You're going to go to the store with me so we can find a dress so we can go partying tomorrow for your twenty-first birthday."
I rolled my eyes. "I work tomorrow then I'm going to lay in bed afterwards. That's what I want for my birthday."
"No," Kitty whined. "That's a sad of a birthday. Especially for a twenty-first birthday. And I already told the boss, you won't make it in tomorrow because you were coming down with a cold and didn't want to admit it."
"Kitty, why the hell would you do that?" I hissed. "I don't want to go out tomorrow. I just want to sit at home and watch a movie. I pay rent every month so I should be able to do what I want."
"Fine," she said pulling out the wad of cash. "I will give you your rent money back and call it even for this month if you go out with me tomorrow."
"No."
"Okay, think of this way. Go to work, and I'm changing the locks so you're locked out for your birthday. How do you like them apples." I glared at the evil Latina who just smiled happily. "Good. So it's settle. Party time tomorrow; shopping tonight!
