Chapter 3, Little Town

(That's how I imagine Mabel would look like just get rid of the hat)

Mabel's POV
I can't believe Bill took another person from us. First it was mom and dad and now, he takes Dipper! Great! Just wonderful! Ford senses my distress and try's to comfort me. "It's alright Mabel, we'll get him back." "How can you be so sure?" I said, tears in my eyes. "I just know. I feel that he's safe. Trust me, when we find Dipper I will give that Cipher the biggest ass whopping of his life." I chuckled a bit at his last remark. He probably planned that. "Thanks, Ford." I say, wiping the tears from my eyes. "Anytime, sweetheart." Ford replied. I was feeling a little better and then I saw a little town down to the East. "Ford, look!" He looked to where I was pointing and immediately started to wake up the rest of the small crew of ours. First, Stan and then Soos. They see the town and start to row towards it.

After a few moments of walking in, walking out, we found a place cheap enough and that had rooms available. "This'll have to do..." Ford said. We got two rooms because I, for one, need my privacy. I would've shared a room with Dipper because we've been together for so long. Just thinking about him makes my eyes tear up. "We'll be right next door, Mabel." Soos says to me. "Alright, thank you." I say. He leaves and shuts the door. It's getting dark. I decide to go to bed since that seems like the reasonable thing to do.

I wake up to the sound of a soft knock at my door. I go to open it, thinking that it's Ford, Stan, or Soos. I open the door to find a rather smaller looking man with white hair at my doorstep. He's wearing a blue suit with a strange black and blue pendent around his neck. "Hello, m'lady" He asks, with the thickest southern accent I've ever heard. "Hello" which sounded more like a question then I wanted it to. "Can I help you?" I ask. "Oh yes. I saw you yesterday and you were the most gorgeous woman I've ever seen! So I thought 'she must be mine!' so I came here to pick you up." He says, finishing with a smirk.  'Is this guy serious?!' I think. "Um. Thank you but I'm not interested." I reply. "Oh but miss, see, I don't think you know who I am." He smirks and continues, "my name is Gideon Gleeful a lord of this hopeless town." My eyes go wide. 'A lord is standing right in front of me and wants me. Me of all people.' "I'm sorry but I still don't think you're the right one for me, thank you anyway." I try to close the door but his foot blocks the way. "I don't think you understand, dear." He begins, "If you don't come with me by will I'll have to use force and trust me, I don't want to do that." I start to loose my patience. "Oh but I don't think you understand." I say. "How so?" Gideon says, taking a step closer to me. I take a step back and continue, "Because I'm a person that you shouldn't be messing with." "Feisty, I like it." He slowly starts to walk towards me. I step back as he does so. I see my sword out of the corner of my eye. I grab it. Gideon takes a step back. "As I said before, Gideon, I'm not someone to be messed with." He has a scared look in his eyes but not on his face. "Oh but there's nothing for you here-" I cut him off. "I'll have you know my family is just in the other room." "Oh! Splendid I shall ask your father then for your hand, no doubt that he'll be excited to have his little girl finally married!" I then loose my patience. As soon as he turns to leave through the door, I run in front of him, blocking him with my sword. "And my brother has been kidnapped by the most feared pirate in the world, the very same pirate took my parents and only God knows what happened to them!" Gideon looks shocked. Once he catches up with reality, he says "fine. But just know this, miss, you will be mine wether you like it or not." I lower my sword and he walks out with a smile plastered on his face. He stops. "I never got your name." He said turning back to me. "Well I mean, it's only fair. I gave you mine." "Mabel!" I see Ford running towards me. "Oh well it was nice to meet you, Miss Mabel." Gideon said, running off. "Who was that?" "That Gideon one of the lords of this town." "What did he want?" Ford asks. "He wanted my hand in marriage." I said, with an annoyed look on my face. "What'd you say?" Soos asks. "I said no." I replied feeling a bit irritated. "Well that's okay. You'll find the right one eventually." Ford said, resting a hand on my shoulder. "Thanks. We should get going. Maybe find another ship we could buy." I say. "Yes, maybe." Ford says in response.

Fords POV
We're just walking down town. Minding our own business, until 3 guards come and step in front of Mabel. "Excuse me miss," the one starts "but Lord Gideon is waiting to see you. And we have been giving strict orders to bring you to him, no matter the case." The tall guard said. He had on a blue uniform, brown hair, and hazel eyes. "Well you can tell your Lord, I'm not interested." Mabel said, crossing her arms. 'Wow this guy is really trying.' I think. "But miss, we have been giv-" He was cut off by Mabel. "I heard you the first time. And my answer is still no." She said with a stern look on her face. Starting to walk away. The other dude with green eyes and ginger hair walked in front of her, blocking her way. At this point I decided to step in. "Can't you see that the girl is uncomfortable." I said, calmly. "I'm sorry, sir, but this is important." The ginger one said. "Well, Mabel, lets just go see what they want." I said, trying to stay calm. "I already know what he wants Ford!" Mabel shouts. "Miss, Sir Gleeful wants to make a trade with you." Mabel turns around. Confusion shined on her face."What? But he wants me to marry him." Mabel says. "Oh but that doesn't mean that he still doesn't want you to. He just wants to make a bargain with you as well." The brown haired one said. "What is it?"
