A few days after, it was night and I started walking around the street market until I saw some familiar uniforms. I realized it was the Hwarang uniform so I started walking closer until I realized that I was looking at Hansung. I quickly stopped him and his eyes widened when he saw me.

Minah: What are you doing here? You shouldn't be out today.

Hansung: The guys and I snuck out. Don't worry. Your brother brought really strong alcohol for the guards to drink.

Minah: (sighs) Okay. So my brother is out too?

He nodded and we started walking together.

Minah: So what were you planning to do right now?

Hansung: I had no idea. I wanted to see you but then I was scared of your brother finding out. I can't just ask him where he lives. But now you're here.

Deoksu: Minah!

I quickly looked at where my name was being called and saw the man from the booth. I grabbed Hansung's hand and ran away with him until we were alone.

Hansung: Why do you keep running from that man? What do you owe him? If you're a True bone then you shouldn't have any debts. Are you a bad person? Taking advantage of the poor?

Minah: I technically don't but he doesn't know that.

Hansung: What do you mean?

Minah: I technically owe him 6 pieces of silver. He just doesn't know that I technically paid it off. Anytime he had debt from other people. I was always the one to secretly pay it off. That man has helped me out so much. He has too much pride to let anyone pay off his debts for him. That's why he doesn't know what I do. He thinks that the gods are helping him so unless I'm a god, then no. They're not. The gods won't just help anyone. Not even someone that a True bone like me, truly cares about. Hansung. I'm not a bad person. A little misguided, maybe. But I care about people so much.

Hansung: You should go tell that man that you've been paying off his debts.

I shook my head but he dragged me to the booth. The man stared at me and Hansung suddenly threw 6 pieces of silver on the table. He explained everything to the man and the man just looked shocked.

Deoksu: So it was you all this time? Why would you do all of that?

Minah: You've helped me so much. I wanted to do the same for you.

Deoksu: (smiles) Take the silver with you. You've already given so much. No more paying off my debts.

I nodded and left with Hansung.

Minah: So when do you have to go?

Hansung: I have about two more hours left. What were you doing out this late?

Minah: ... I just wanted to see how that man was doing.

Hansung: Why are you so concerned about him?

I stayed quiet, not knowing what to say. Contemplating if I should tell him everything or not.

Hansung: What is it?

I sat down and pulled him next to me.

Minah: I'm gonna tell you everything. Okay?

He nodded and waited for me to speak.

Minah: That man... Deoksu... He's saved my life multiple times. The first time, I was a little kid. I was down by the river, playing while one of my fathers workers was washing our clothes. I used to be very clumsy. I still am but not as much. I was jumping on the trail of stones in the river until I slipped and fell. I hit my head pretty hard and cut my head open. If he wasn't there, I would've drowned or bled to death. If you feel my head, you could feel where I got the stitches.
