Hali-

My eyes flutter open. My head is pounding. I groan. I try to raise my arm, but am restricted by something. Suddenly, the memories of the previous events come back to me. I feel sick to my stomach as I remember the horrible sight. As I look back on it, the scene in the room becomes clearer then before I passed out.

It's like looking at an old, blurry photo. I saw red before I fainted because the room was mostly red, with blood. Blood on the back of the door, the walls, and the floors. The bed was tossed over. There were dents in the wall. It looked like it would have caused quit a commotion; I'm surprised that no one came sooner. Though, the most horrifying thing was in the center of the room. There, on the floor, was a body. (Warning! Graphic descriptions) Except, it didn't look that much of a body anymore. It was mangled. Bloody arms sticking out at odd angles, looking as if they were stuck on like toothpicks. Head bent back, mouth open. And the chest. Their chest was ripped open. Their heart and lungs were gone, and their liver was hanging out of their corpse.

I shudder remembering the sight, but right now there are more important things to deal with. Like why I'm chained up, and where I am. Looking around the room, I notice it is lit only by a flickering candle. I have no idea where I am. This is not the Asylum, if it were, the walls would be white and padded. Movement in the corner of the room catches my eye. The flickering flame of the candle goes out mysteriously. Then, white eyes. A shadow in the darkness.

Creeping through the darkness,

opening up your door.

Seeping out of closet doors,

Crawling out of unclosed drawers.

Things that walk,

Things that crawl,

Things that go bump in the night.
