Snowdin

You're sitting at the table, slowly eating your breakfast as you read fan-fiction on your phone. You look up as Toriel walks in, giving her your usual smile.

"Oh, goat morning, Tori." You say as you take another bite of your toast. She smiles, nodding to you as she sits down.

"You're up early." Toriel comments, studying you suspiciously. You quickly put away your phone. "Are you planning on doing something today?"

"Well, I thought it would be a nice day to go out and actually go past the bridge, to, uh, you know, explore."

"Sans told you about Snowdin?"

"Yup."

Toriel sighs. You had been going outside of the ruins to talk and share puns with Sans almost every day since you met him. You two were basically best friends by now.

On your last visit to the bridge, he had invited you to Snowdin to meet his brother and hang out at a pub called Grilly's. You said you would get back to him after talking to Toriel about it.

You explained this to Toriel, and by the time you were finished, she was beaming at you.

"So," She starts, a mischievous look in her eyes. "Sans asked you out on a—"

"Oh, Tori, don't you dare," You warn as you finish the last bit of your food.

"—date?" She asks, and you stand up. She tries to hide her giggles with her hand, but you still see them. You give her a death glare.

"No." You say, no amusement whatsoever to your voice. "He just wants me to meet his brother." You realize how weird those words sound as your saying them, but it's too late.

"Oooh," She says as you walk over to the sink to put your dishes away. "Of course."

You hear her snort as you turn around. She looks at you and then bursts into laughter.

You feel your face heat up, but you just stomp out of the room, grabbing your coat and quickly heading downstairs.

"Oh my goodness," Toriel says through her laughter. "(Y/n), come back! I'm sorry!"

After walking down the hallway for a minute, you feel your phone vibrate in your pocket and you take it out.

Sans: so is she ok with it?

You type a reply as you're pushing open the door.

You: yeah

Sans: alright i'll meet up with you at the bridge

As you step out into the cold, you realize you're still blushing. You scoop up some snow and shove it in your face in an attempt to cool it down. It... Almost works.

You decide to ignore it and continue down the path towards the bridge. Eventually, you get there, and see Sans leaning against a nearby tree. His eye-sockets are closed and his hands are in his pockets.

"Hey, lazybones." You say as you walk over. He opens his eyes halfway, studying you with the eternal grin on his face.

"hey," He replies. "uh... are you ok? you're face is all red."

You are careful to not let your expression change as you shrug, putting your own hands in your pockets.

"That tends to happen when humans are cold." It's not a lie, but he can see right through it anyway.

"right." He takes his hand out and extends it to you. "c'mon." You stare down at it, then back at him. "just hold on," He says. "I know a shortcut."
