KENZY ALIZE AMONTE

THURSDAY 3:10PM
Chicago, Illinois

"Jaylin you finna piss me off, you lie about the stupidest shit."

"What are you talking about? I'm still at my Og crib. what you want me to send you a picture?"

"No but you said you was on your way two hours ago, like if you knew you was stopping at your momma house you shouldn't have gave me a specific time. I've been seating here dressed like you was literally on your way."

"Aight I'm on my way now, calm yo lil angry ass down." I rolled my eyes and sighed loudly, I laid across my bed scrolling on my rose gold MacBook. It always took Jaylin a million years to come get me that's why I like taking my car to go places. He told me two hours ago that he was on his way to come get me, I don't really believe him but it's whatever.

A unknown number flashed across my iPhone screen, I frowned and answered it putting it on speaker. "Hello?"

"Yooooo."

"Who is this?"

"Jabari."

"...Oh, what's up?"

"What you doing?"

"I'm laying down." I didn't know exactly why he was calling me, I haven't talked to him in like a month since I broke up with him. He wasn't mad either, and he moved on quick. He had a girlfriend name Genesis now and she was pretty . . but she just wasn't me.

"Jabari I just have to ask, why you calling me?"

"Damn I can't call to check on you? I mean we didn't leave off on a bad note Kenzy." We really didn't leave off on a bad note, I just broke up with him and left it at that. It's just weird how he called me out of no where.

"I guess, I just feel like you called me for something though."

"Yeah I kind of did call you for something though." I smacked my lips and sat up, looking at the mirror that was connected to my dresser.

"I'm listening. . ."

"You tryna slide to see truth or dare with me?"

"You have a bitch and I have a nigga."

"Just as friends, I'm just tryna cool it with you that's all. We can still kick it like old times."

"I don't think Jaylin would like that, neither would Genesis."

"Aight so they don't have to know this could be just a one time thing." I thought about it and I doubt Jaylin would be coming til tonight because he still haven't called or texted me.

"Okay fine but if you try something imma call my cousin and you know how he is." I heard him smack his lips and I shrugged my shoulders like he could see me.

"Aight whatever, I'm on my way now."

"Okay." He hung up and I got up so I could start fixing myself up. I was having a bad feeling about this, but it's whatever. I texted Jaylin and told him to just forget about it. I blocked him so he wouldn't call or text me just until I get back home.
