The drive to Edith's usual go-to mall was rather long; Luckily for the both of them, music saved them from awkward silence.
"It's too loud," Loki had grumbled.
"Get used to it," Edith had retorted. The rest of the ride was spent in silence, other than the blaring music, of course.
By the time they'd finally arrived, Loki was oddly eager to exit the car.
"Wait until I park, will ya," Edith scolded.
The god rolled his eyes, and grumbled under his breath.
She sniggered. "I love how you're so easily annoyed," Edith said, briefly glancing at him.
Loki smirked, and turned to gaze at her, "In my defense," His smirk turned to a cheeky grin. "You are the only one who's managed to annoy me so easily."
As she pulled into a parking spot, she sniggered once again, "Ouch. Not even Thor?" The necromancer turned off her car, and shoved her key into her pocket.
As he exited the vehicle, he chuckled, "No," Loki replied, then slamming the car door.
Edith was quick to follow him, saying, "Oi! Don't slam my car door. It's a classic, and I've kept it in mint condition," She nudged his side with her elbow, causing him to grunt.
"Do not do that," He hissed.
"I'll do as I please, good sir." replied the necromancer, grinning proudly.
The god huffed, struggling to keep up with her. For someone so short, she's so irritatingly fast. He thought.

Upon entering the colossal building, people began scurrying away from the pair. While Loki didn't seem to mind, Edith was unnerved.
She grumbled, "This is gonna be one hell of a day."
The towering god chuckled, as he walked alongside her. He strutted, Edith noticed.
"Indeed," Loki agreed. "I do loathe people."
"So much in common, already!" Edith rolled her eyes, and nudged him once again.
"Hel, woman!" He once again hissed. This time, he nudged her in return. Unfortunately, she had absolutely no reaction to it.
He growled under his breath. Seeing a few children staring, he shot them a devilish grin. Of course, he failed to realize they were staring at Edith. In fear of the towering man's wrath, the children ran. Much to the god's surprise, Edith was giggling beside him. When he turned to look at her - Something just seemed to click. His heart was pounding in his chest, his icy eyes met hers. His devilish grin seemed to turn into an amused, happy smile.
She's...Intelligent, mad , daring, witty, like myself...and...she's mine. No one else will have her.
Suddenly, he managed to snap back into reality - Well, Edith snapped him back. She was still snapping her fingers in front his face.
"Oi, you there?"
"Er - Apologies," Was all he managed to say.
"Eh, whatever. C'mon, this is one of my favorite places," Edith shrugged his 'absence' off, and led him into an eerie looking shop.
Loki read the sign aloud on the way in, "'Witch's Brew'..?" He looked to Edith, puzzled.
The shop was dimly lit, and would be considered 'disgusting' to the elderly. Edith thought of Steve, and how he was technically around ninety nine years old. She sniggered to herself. Oh, he'd dread Witch's Brew.
She led - or really, dragged - Loki into the men's side of the store. There, on the wall, hung multiple sets of men's suits. Towards the end was the casual clothing.
Loki was bewildered at this point. Finally - Decent mortal clothing!
Edith quietly laughed. She picked up a long-sleeved, black dress shirt with a white snake printed along it.
"Here we go, snakey. Right up your alley," She held it up to him for measurement. "Heh. Looks like a good fit, as well,"
"Hold on a moment," He quickly interjected. He took the shirt from her, and examined it for a moment. Normally, he would refuse to wear such a thing and stick to his Asgardian clothing; But, this was Midgard, and it was either this, or have Edith buy him random clothing. Many, of which, would likely embarrass him to wear. This it is. He thought. He nodded, and handed it to her.
"Ha-ha. Score for Edith. Loki - Zero. Edith - One." She teased. "Stay put. I'm going to find a cart or something," Again, the god nodded. It didn't take long for Edith to return, carrying a shopping basket.
"Forgot they don't have carts which sucks ass, but hey; They've got these stupid basket things!" She did jazz hands in a sarcastic manner. He shook his head lightly, unamused. Loki gestured to an all-black suit with golden buttons.
"I'd like that," He told her, one of his eyebrows raised. She examined it for a moment, then nodded.
"Nice- Oh, I love this song!"
'Owner Of A Lonely Heart' by Yes, had begun to play through the store's speakers.
Loki's eyebrows raised in surprise. He listened for a moment, while Edith searched for the suit pieces.
"Hiya, handsome," A woman's voice broke him from his focus. He turned his head to spot who had spoken. To his left, stood a plump woman, with shoulder length dyed black hair. She was fair skinned with a few tattoos along her arms, and one of an owl on her thigh. She wore a short black dress, white skulls decorating it, along with a black corset simply to add to it, and all-black converse sneakers. He raised a brow at her. What had Edith disguised him as?
"Er-...Hello...?" With his reply, the woman edged closer to him, smiling.
"You have nice eyes," She cooed, moving closer yet again. He took a step back, looking far more than uncomfortable.
"Thank you," He quickly replied.
"Aw, don't be shy. I don't bite," The woman said with a giggle.
"Wouldn't expect you to," Loki hissed under his breath. He felt cornered, and detested the very idea.
Edith strutted over, seemingly out of nowhere.
"Hey, babe. Got the suit," She held up the small basket. Then, with a smile, she pulled him into a kiss. Once more, if he weren't naturally freezing cold, he would have blushed, and a bright, burning red, at that. He was surprised for a moment, his heart even alight...But then, realized what she was doing.
Of course. Idiot. The god managed to return the kiss, in order to fool the strange woman, even with his heart leaping. The raven haired woman gave an irritated grunt, then rushed out of the shop. Once she was out of sight, Edith pulled away.
"You're welcome," Was all she said. His eyebrows briefly raised, showing his dismay. Edith laughed, and slapped his shoulder. "If it's any consolation, you're not a bad kisser."
Still disoriented, her words only made things worse for him.
Love is a lie. Love is a myth. Love is not real. I do not love this abomination of a woman. He repeated in his mind.
"You gonna pick out anything else? S.H.I.E.L.D.'s covering all the expenses, so we can go ham," The necromancer said, grinning.
