Chapter 5

Brielle’s POV

As I pull into the driveway of my house with Braison in my passenger seat that hasn’t seated something this exciting since I brought home my dog, Willi for the first time.

As we enter my house my mom sneak-attacks me from behind while I am putting my keys away. She jumps on top of me and showers me with hugs, but stops mid kiss (thankfully) to look at Braison. Slowly she removes her arms from me and turns to face him, at this point her whole body was turned towards Braison, completely forgetting about me.

“So, you must be Braison.” She says, her eyes full of curiosity.

“Yes Mam, in the flesh.” Braison answers, sweeping his hands downwards to gesture his “in-the-flesh,”

“Sorry Braison, she does this every time I bring over a boy.” I butt in.

“Whoa whoa whoa, I am not the only guy you are bringing here?” He says trying not to let his smile and his laughter burst.

“Oh you can trust me.” My mom adds in, ruining the small moment we had, “Bri hasn’t brought home a boy since 5th grade. You’re safe there.”

My face immediately turned red, I didn't want Braison to think I couldn’t get any guys to like me.

He saves my embarrassment by saying, “She was just waiting for me to come around Mrs. Bishop.” He puts his arm around my shoulder and walks into the kitchen with me for some celebratory “Going to College” cake.

When we were done filling our stomachs to the brim, we walked downstairs to the lounge. He sits down on the couch and pats the baron seat next to him. I plop down next to him as he puts his arm around me, pulling me into his chest.

“What are we going to do about the whole college thing?” Braison asks, being extremely impatient. “I want you to be happy, but I really don't want you to move because I want to be with you forever.”

I just rest my head on his chest and jokingly say, “Just come to college with me Rasin. It will be fun! We could move in together.”

“Ri, I would love to but I don't know what I want to do.” Braison answers seriously. “Well lets watch a movie.” He tries to change the subject and I allow him because it must be a sensitive topic for him.

“Titanic?” I ask holding up the movie with pleading eyes. Braison rolls his eyes but agrees to the movie. I start to cry when Jack dies, and I look over at Braison to apologize about my emotions towards the movie and notice he has fallen asleep. It is probably because I made him get up at 5… oops, I thought. I snuggle into his chest and think to myself, “He looks so fricking perfect when he sleeps.”

Once the movie was over I tilt my head back to see if Braison was still sleeping and he was, so I pick up his arm and wrap it around me as I whisper, “I love you, Rasin.” I wake him up after that and accuse him of falling asleep to the best movie that could ever play with your emotions in the whole wide world. We go upstairs and Braison sees the clock, which reads 11:00 p.m.

“Well i'm kind of hungry, would you like to go out to eat?” He says hopefully.

“Yes. We should go to Panera Bread.” I walk towards the entryway to get my shoes on and Braison follows. “That place is the bomb dot com.”

“Did you just say the bomb dot com, Ri?” He turns around to face me.

I think to myself, You are so stupid! Why would you say the bomb dot com in front of someone that you don't want to leave you! But I answer out loud with, “Yeah, do you have a problem with that?”
