Sighing, you scroll through your phone as you sit on a small stool at the counter. You work at a small grocery store and people rarely come by at your shift since you work later in the evening. You're glad that you really didn't have to talk to that many people since your friend who works an earlier shift always complain about stingy customers. However, you do occasionally see one really cute guy who comes by. He usually comes alone, but he'll sometimes show up with a couple of his younger friends.

You secretly want him to come over to your line, but that hasn't happened yet. Although, you would notice that sometimes his friends would point over at you and whisper something to him. You would see him get all flustered and you would giggle a little. He looked really cute when he seemed to be all shy.

Shifting into a more comfortable position on the stool, you take a small break from your phone and look up. You see the cute guy walk in and you almost fall off. You quickly straighten your posture and fix your hair and clothes. You try to suppress a blush when you see him look over at you and smile. You smile back and when he left to find his food, you bite your lips and melt to the floor.

You watch as he gracefully glides from aisle to aisle, picking up some food and dropping them into his basket. You love the way he seems to debate with himself over which brand of carrots to get. He seemed to have noticed you staring since he turns his head to look over at you. Quickly turning away, you pull out your phone and pretend to be playing on it.

You take a peek over at him and luckily, he has turned away, but you notice him laughing to himself and you blush. Although you haven't talked to him, you really wish he was your soulmate. He seems so kind and caring and you love seeing him with his friends since he's always so considerate of them. Every time he checked out the food with another co-worker of yours, they always tell you that he is super sweet and he always talks in a soft, calming tone.

Everyone has a soulmate and when they first touch, a colorful design of whatever your soulmate is interested in will appear on the spot they touched. You desperately wonder what the cute guy is interested in. Sometimes, you would make up random scenarios of how you would find out during work.

You slowly dazed off and began thinking about all the possibilities of what he would like. You are only brought out of your thoughts when you hear a quiet cough and you look up. Gasping, you quickly apologize. Blushing, you look down while scanning the cute guy's groceries. You were so busy thinking about him that you hadn't realized he was standing there.

However, you are excited that he came to your station. You apologize one more time and you hear him chuckle. You bite your lips to prevent you from smiling. You had never heard someone who had such a cute laugh. Suddenly, his phone starts to ring and he quickly pulls it out but groans slightly when he sees the contact name. You giggle and he shakes his head slightly.

"Sorry, I have to take this. Do you mind if I put it on speaker?" he asks, helping you with sorting out his groceries.

"Go ahead," you smile, trying not to cry over how soft he sounds.

"Thanks," he smiles, answering.

"Hey, have you talked to the pretty cashier lady at station seven yet?" was the first thing that came out of his phone.
