It had been a while since Vanity had last been outside. About a week or so in fact. The moment the battles had slightly settled, she was sneaked back to the castle. Currently, she was reading a book on basic Transfiguration since she'd been missing school. People in her kingdom were at war and she had to be kept safe. Her windows were boarded up and her door was locked. Vanity was dragged out of the book she was reading by a loud banging on the boarded up window. Setting the book down, she stood up and looked through a small crack. Blue eyes were staring right back at her.

"Let me in." the boy whispered. Vanity shook her head. "Adam, you're risking yourself. You're part of the enemy kingdom. Go home." Adam glared at her through the crack. "Sorry, but yoyr family has an alliance with the Solar Empire. And you're Eliana's best friend. I think you'd like to know that my father's men have taken her and thrown her in a concentration camp with most of her people." he replies, quite rudely actually. Vanity drifts into thought, as if thinking whether or not to help Eliana and Adam.

"Earth to Vanity." he said, smiling annoyingly. Vanity rolled her eyes. Out of nowhere, Adam began to hit the wooden planks on her window with an axe, rather loudly.

"Adam are you crazy?!" she whisper-yelled. The blonde boy threw the planks on the floor and jumped in. He gave her a tight hug, causing her to cringe. "We have to go." he said hurriedly. Vanity shook her head. "Can I atleast pack? Just what I have in my room? Maybe we can quickly figure out where to go." Adam nodded. "We don't really have an escape plan. And she doesn't know that we're coming for her. So where do you have planned for us to go?" Vanity stopped and thought for a while and pulled out a book titled GAIA: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW. She scanned over the book and the map on the back. She then pointed to a green forested area. "This is the Amazon Rainforest. We can go here. It's not really populated by Gians and it's very calm. Let me just pack some things." Adam sat on Vanity's bed as she scrambled around her room and took a suitcase out of her closet. She began to shove books and clothing in it. She stopped suddenly. "I can't carry all of this. It's too much." she began to mumble. "Maybe if I just transfigure it into a bracelet or something..." She took the suitcase and propped it up on the wall. Trying hard to do transfiguration and turn the suitcase into a bracelet, she reread the book over and over. Eventually, she turned it into the bracelet. She snapped it on and turned to look at Adam. She nodded and he stood up, walking over to the window. He grabbed her by the hand and jumped out the window.
