Vanity Moon

She carved her nose carefully, trying not to make a simple mistake. She smoothed put her cheeks and made her hair. She gave her soft hands and a diamond face. She wiped some sweat off her forehead and stopped to look around the darkened room, only illuminated by the moonlight. The room was hot and dry. As she turned the child around, the maid walked in and scared her, and her sweaty hands caused her to slip, and the kid fell face down. Her tastebuds coming irreparably off. She gasped and the maid ran out, she picked her up, and sighed. She got her paints and began to give the child some color. She painted the child a pale peach, and gave her warm brown hair. She gave her peachy cheeks and decided to give her hazel, almost yellow, eyes. To finish off, she gave her the royal birthmark, a moon. She lifted up her little wrist, and carefully tattooed the mark. She kissed her on the birthmark and the small baby fluttered her eyes open.

"Vanity..."

One year old Vanity slowly grabbed the couch and stood up, she slowly began walking. Then she sped up, going away from the couch. Finally, she learned how to walk. The nearby maid caught this moment, and ran to her. She picked her up and swung her around. Vanity laughed a barely-toothed laugh. That was her first time walking alone. The curious child, began walking around the large library, going directly to a bookshelf filled with large books. Her being a clumsy baby, she knocked over a big, blue book. It fell on her head, opened. Vanity began walking around with the book on her head, making the maid smile. Vanity's mother, Genevieve Moon, walked into the room. She grimaced at the sight of Vanity being joyful. Oh how she hated kids.

"Youre majesty! Princess Vanity learned how to walk!" the maid exclaimed happily. Genevieve walked right past them, ignoring the now frowning baby.
