The School (V)

-Vanity Moon: Age 6-

Young Vanity was in her room, doing the typical; reading. The princess had definitely grown up more. Her face was less full and her eyes were no longer oversized. Her hair now reacher mid-back, and were styled in two braids connecting in the back to make a ponytail. She was wearing a soft black dress.

A servant knocked and walked in when told to, smiling softly, she bowed low.

"Your highness, you're to be escorted to your Queen Genevieve's quarters. She has very important news for you." Vanity lazily stood up and hesitantly put the book down. She followed her into her mother's giant chambers. She was immediately bombarded with white and baby blue. Her mother was always a fan of the light colors, as opposed to herself. Vanity was sat down on a soft, pastel chair. Her mother, Genevieve, sat right across from her.

"Tomorrow is your birthday, December 23-" she said but was interupted. "I know when my birthday is." Vanity said. Genevieve glared at her and continues. "On January first, you will begin your official year at the School of the New Lunar Republic. You will meet many people, but remember, you ARE to be respected. If otherwise, bring them to me. When you get there, you will be put into a house. Tristania for the clever, Celene for the courageous, Lulamoon for the cunning, and Jaspiem for the creative. Do NOT disappoint me and get anything other than Lulamoon. Every generation in the Moon family has been a Lulamoon. Don't be the one to mess it up. You will be given a ribbon. It will be either black or white. That will show whether you will specialize Black or White Imagination. At the end of the year, there will be a fight between both sides to prepare you for the future. Understood?" Genevieve asked. Vanity processed everything. She nodded and walked out.

JANUARY 1st, 1853, 5th ERA

Vanity got dressed by the same servant, Maria Elena, She wore a simple white dress with her soft hair down. A little bow was ties around her neck.

"Your highness, I'd like to wish you very good luck on your first day of school. I wouldn't be surprised if you became top of the class immediately." Vanity gave a barely there smile, looking back at her luggage. The School of the New Lunar Republic was a boarding school. She was definitely hoping to get one of the most luxurious room available.

Once done, Vanity hopped off the bed and began walking towards the door, Maria ELena trailing cloise behind with her lugagge. A golden carriage was outside waiting to take Vanity to her school. As Vanity walked outside, her luggage was put in the back. A man who she did not recognize took her hand and helped her onto the carriage. She plopped onto the cushiony seat, preparing for the long ride.

TIME SKIP 3 HOURS

Vanity spent her time reading large books. By the time she got to the school, she already finished reading two big books. When she saw the size of the castle-like school, her stomach dropped.

No, a Moon never gets nervous. A Moon is always perfect.

As Vanity stepped in, her breath hitched. The entrance room was filled with kids, the walls full of stained glass with pictures of every head of house in history. The floors were made of white porcelein while the walls were white with gold and azurite accents. Before Vanity could take it all in, Genevieve, who just so happens to be the principal, begins to speak.

"Now as some of you may know, the Fountain Ceremony will soon begin. Good luck and welcome to the School of the New Lunar Republic." she said with a fake smile.

All the kids were put into a large hallway. They were called by full name. Kids went in and out, every time with a change in uniform; blue, purple, pink or yellow. Finally, Vanity was called. She walked into a dark room, which was only illuminated by the light of a color-changing fountain that only seemed to switch from blue to purple to pink to yellow. Nobody spoke.
