Chapter 20

Rachel P.O.V.

Rydel had helped me with my contact lenses and Stormie was helping Amethyst. Something along the lines of if it's in your eyes too long, you might get eye infection or something?

When they were done, they were squeal ling about me and Ross when they found me gripping his hand and giving him a peck on his cheek. It was just a peck of gratitude... I did that to my parents and my grandparents... I don't get what's the big fuss.

When we reached Disneyland, they were about to gush about me and him again to Ratliff but I stopped them effectively. Rocky was walking alone, surprisingly and Raven was with Haley, Ryland and Riker at that time so I scared Rydel, Amethyst and Ratliff unintentionally. I think I scared Ross too. Oh well.

"So sweet, eh? With Amethyst." I grinned at the tall, muscular guy who was blushing furiously. For someone who is often so conservative, this is the first time I see Rocky blushing.

"Shut up. You and Ross are exactly the same."

"Yea? I only met him two weeks ago and you, Amethyst, Rydel and Ryland are shippin' me with him. Something is not quite right."

"You're saying you both are just nothing but acquaintances? He hugged your waist!"

"And you asked for Amethyst's hand! You met her two weeks ago too. You're literally conveying shamelessly that you like her!"

He didn't reply, admitting defeat. I laughed at him.

"I knew I would win this fight."

"Yea, yea. Now let Ross' kiss you."

I had my suspicions. His actions and what his siblings are saying, they confirm it.

I may act oblivious but I do read in between lines. I liked Literature, I learned how to interpret between the lines.

Now, I'm investigating. I'm waiting for some more evidence and proof. I'm praying what I hear isn't true actually. I am not someone suitable for a superstar like Ross, let alone, ready to be in a relationship.

"And you should ask Amethyst whether she wanna go on the swan boat ride. It would be romantic for you both."

I saw him run a hand through his hair and sighed. I merely laughed at him, knowing I had hit a good nerve.

Truthfully, when they told me we were going to Paris Disneyland, I was actually mixed with confusion and excitement.

We all know that yours truly never had the childhood each child had, being able to have toys and having the chance to play outside. So when we went to Disneyland, I would so called "experience" this childhood I never had with the attitude I had. Reluctance.

We first went on a roller coaster. I have never ridden a roller coaster and I wasn't very eager too either. Me and Amethyst were wearing dresses and skirts. You can't expect us to get up there!

Either way, they forced us up the roller coaster which was like an open-aired train...

Before we even went down the loop, Rocky was screaming his head off.

Ratliff was almost on the verge of dying. Well, almost. Did I mention that Rocky and Ratliff were the first the reject the offer of the roller coaster ride? No? Well, now you know.

The roller coaster wasn't exactly a thrill, but I had fun. It was fun considering I got to see some boys scream like girls. I guffawed so loudly with Riker, Ross and Ryland. In the end, Ratliff survived like a man and was leaning on Raven.

I immediately whisked out my phone and took a picture of them. The snapping of a camera made me realised I wasn't the only one taking advantage of this sweet moment.

"Wow Rydel. You really pick the good times, don't ya?"

"I know, I'm just that awesome."

We went to the Phantom Manor next, due to Ryland's recommendation. Everyone was screaming but I was silent, I didn't want to be here anyway. Everyone was screaming while me and Ryland was laughing at their reactions. Ross had a really solemn face, but I could tell he was scared as everyone.

Even I was scared. I had always had the feeling of fear with me. Ever since experiencing the loss of my family, I was scared of losing anything and everything. But this is not really the time to be saying about all this stuff.

But, I did see some sweet moments. A zombie was about to sneak up on Haley but Riker hugged Haley away from the zombie. I heard Rydel and Amethyst squealing about that before screaming again with Rocky because a monster creeped up on them. Ratliff was still surviving surprisingly. His hand tightly holding onto Raven's. Ross was with me and Ryland.

"Hey guys, wait!" Everyone stopped and looked at me.

"What is it?"

"You wanna know the secret of surviving haunted houses? You be one with it."

"How?"

A vampire attempted to scare but I saw him in the mirror. I could see my scarlet eyes in the dark through the mirror.

Everyone's eyes widened and their mouths became a little drier when the vampire opened his mouth and hissed at us, placing his hand on my shoulder.

I could see it was a guy, a muscular one. He was very pale and he had high cheekbones. I smirked. Time to scare the shit out of these guys.

I pulled on his hand and smirked. Having sharp teeth had it's perks. One of them is to scare people.

I grinned at him, licked my lips visibly and used my tongue to lick his wrist on his pumping vein.

"Mmm. May I take a sip?" I say licking his wrist again, kissing it lightly, pressed my sharper tooth lightly beside his wrist and look at him with my red eyes. I could see the fear reflected in his eyes and he pulled away. His vein was pumping really fast.

"Better run before I bite."

With that, he immediately went back to his place.

"Y-y-you act like a r-r-real vampire..." Riker stuttered, clearly scared of me.

"Who said anything about acting." I grinned and then pointed to Rocky.

"Zombie."

"Vampire." I pointed to myself.

"Werewolf." I pointed to Ross.

"Wizard." I pointed to Ryland.

"Oh not this again..."
