♡ Sodapop Curtis Imagine ♡

You and Soda are standing outside in the rain. You're nearly at the last straw, your relationship isn't working, and you're finally getting it all out in the open.

"Y/N, I really don't think I can do this anymore. You hurt me so bad. You tell me we're exclusive, we're going steady, but you runaround with other guys. You don't understand the toll that takes on my little heart. All I want to give you is love, but it doesn't seem like you want that from me. If you don't want me, just tell me now, I don't want to be hurt even more than I am. Y/N. Please. Tell me if you don't want me. I'll leave right now. Please." Sodapop's voice breaks, and he begins crying.

You can't stand it. You can't believe you've done this to him. To Sodapop Curtis. You loved Sodapop with all your heart, but you made the mistake of letting some stupid boy from school take advantage of you. You wished more than anything you could take that one night back. But you can't turn back time. You just can't. 

"Sodapop Curtis, I want nothing more in this world than to hold you. I want to grow old with you. I want to wake up every morning beside you. You don't even know." You say, biting your trembling lip.

"If you really feel that way, then why do you treat me like you do?" Soda asks, his voice shaking, tears dripping down his cheeks. 

"I want you to give me one more chance. Please give me one more chance to prove myself. If you don't want to, I-I understand," you stutter, trying to force out the words without bursting into tears, "but please, Soda, I love you, and I want us to be together forever." 

"Do you really mean it?" Sodapop asks, wiping his tear-streaked face. 

"I do. I really do. I mean it more than I've ever meant anything in my life." You insist.

"Then okay." Soda shakily pulls out a piece of wire from his pocket, and bends it into the shape of a ring. " I know I don't have a proper ring, and this isn't the best setting," Sodapop begins, his voice still tinged with remaining sadness, "but I want you to marry me. If you really love me, you'll say yes. We won't need an expensive ring, we wouldn't even need a real wedding. Just each other." 

"Sodapop, I love you forever and always, and I promise to be true to you. I accept. I want to marry you." You say, still crying. 

Soda puts the wire ring on your finger, and pulls you into a long, loving kiss. 

After sitting in silence in the rain together for what seemed like ages, you finally ask him, 

"Are we okay again?" 

Soda smiles genuinely at you, "Maybe we're a little disfunctional at times. But now I know everything's just fine. And from here on out it always will be."

AHHHDJDKS IM SORRY IF I TOYED WITH YOUR EMOTIONS ON THIS ONE, IT HURT ME TOO. Honestly idk how I watched and read The Outsiders 5 months ago and I still hadn't done an Imagine for any of the characters till now. Oh well. I made up for it by giving you all a Two for One deal with Dally & Soda lol.
