Through the Darkness

Chapter 5

Maya's P.O.V.

 As we continued walking towards the mansion he called home, I was overwhelmed with questions, but there was only one I wanted to ask. "Why do you care about me, I'm a wreck, nobody has ever cared about me, so why do you"? I wasn't quite sure what his answer would be but I kept rerunning in my head the scenario of him telling me he doesn't care about me, that he was just trying to get rid of me. 

To my surprise he didn't say that, in fact he basically said the opposite, he had said "Why wouldn't i care about you, I love you Maya." 

I didn't know how to respond to what he had said, I didn't know whether to say it back, or whether to run away... but I knew what i wanted to do, I wanted him to be close to me again. I wanted him to be so close that I could feel and hear his every breath on my neck, I wanted to get in his house and miss our flight so that he could take me on a completely different ride. So I went for it, I stopped him in his tracks and planted a kiss on his lips, he kissed back, we kept walking, not breaking the kiss. Then we got to the door, he reaches in his pocket, looking for his keys, but I stopped him before he could do anything else and I said "Don't, not now..." He didn't even respond before he pushed me against the wall and kissed me like never before, moving down to my neck, providing every single thing I have ever needed... and wanted. I reach in his back pocket going for the keys, but before I can, he pulls me even closer, I can feel his heart beating against my chest, wanting every single square inch of his body against mine.

 He says, "Will you be mine forever"?

 I don't even have to think before I say "Of course I will... I already was".

 With that he grabbed the key and opened the door pulling me to his room, he closes the door and I say, "Not here..." I pull him out  of the room as if I know where everything is, I see the pool and start to guide him outside and I say "Here", while taking my top off, he looked at me and smirked, but right as he was about to kiss me, I pushed him into the pool and I jumped in myself and he grabs me, lifts me above the water and spins me around. 

When he lets me back down, I smile and he says "You are perfect, you may not think so, but I know it's true." 

I run my hand down his chest, admiring his six-pack and I reach for the bottom of his shirt, and slowly take it off, revealing the well- toned chest I knew he had. 

I threw his shirt on the side of the pool, he walks behind me, kisses me on the neck and said, "I will love you forever." 

I turn around and he runs his hands down my back, searching for the clasp of my bra, and once he found it he unhooked it within 2 seconds, sending chills down my spine. He threw it to the side, looked at me, examining my every curve and he said "You are so beautiful, anyone who doesn't see that doesn't deserve you". I kiss him with an undeniable passion and he says "You are my one and only, forever". He asked me if i was sure, the answer was an obvious yes, but even though I wanted to say yes, I said, "I barely know anything about you". He grabbed my hand and led me out of the pool, he grabbed me a towel and sat on the ledge of the pool next to me and said, "What do you want to know"? I wasn't sure about what I wanted to know, so i stuck to the basics, and said "What are your hobbies". He flashed me a bright smile and said, "I keep a journal that I write in every day, I am really into photography, and now I have another one". I smile. He looks confused when I smile, "It's just funny how you capture pictures, and you have already captured my heart". He smiles back and slyly grabs my hand in his.

"I love you so much Maya" Cole said, he looked almost scared to say those words, almost like he didn't expect the answer that I gave.

When he said he loved me, my eyes looked up from the pool and went straight to his eyes. I finally noticed the bright green coloring of his eyes, I just kept my eyes locked on his and smiled, "I... love you too".

He got up, grasped my hand, and said "Come on I want to show you something".

"Okay" I said as I got up "What is it?" I said as I put my clothes back on.

He looked back at me, and said "Have you ever been on a plane?"

I look at him, slightly confused, "No...Why?"

We walked into the back field and I saw a plane. "What is this for?"

Cole looks back and said, "Are you afraid of heights?"

I look at the plane, "No...that's not what I'm afraid of."

He smiles, "Good."
