"guys..." a girl in our group of friends started the conversation. "i- i just feel worried somehow."
"why?" i asked her, leaning in.
"it's- just that... will we ever split up? i mean, we have been friends for years, but i just feel connected to you guys so much. i don't want any of us to leave..." she mumbled, looking down, playing with her pen. "i'm just a silly bitch."
"no!" an another guy and yuta stopped her words. "we all worry about that too."
i stood up, as if i wanted to finish my statement, to clear her worries and to tighten our love for each other. to state about our friendship.
"don't worry, guys. let's promise each other to not ever split up. even if whatever happens, y'all bastards all got my back." i put my palm out, expecting for them to hold them back.
to my expectation, they did hold it back. the circle of friends, especially yuta, smiled wide and looked at me caringly.
"promise?"
"well, this is cringey...but... okay."
"promise!"
