When Laurel's vision came back, she moved her arms, realizing that her arms were strapped to a table.

She tried to move her legs, but they were also strapped to the table.

Wherever the Metas were holding her, it stunk in there. It smelled like someone left rotting bodies laying around.

Maybe they did.

She tried not to think about it, the thought of being surrounded by dead bodies made her nauseous.

She closed her eyes, trying to remain calm.

Barry will come for me. She thought.

She pictured his face in her mind, and focused on having strength for him.

She couldn't wait to kiss him again.

She didn't know how long she had been unconscious, but it didn't feel long.

When the Meta walked into the room, the smell of rotting corpses intensified. "Well, looks like I finally caged the Black Canary." She huffed a breath.

"What do you want with me?" She growled.

"I don't care about you," He said, "I want to get to the Flash."

"Why?" She wanted to keep him talking.

"Because... he was the one who got me locked up in the first place."

She rolled her eyes. "He was doing his job."

"Don't roll your eyes at me, Bird!" The Meta grabbed a syringe, and aggressively took her face in his hand. He squeezed her chin, and her jaw started to ache. He jammed the needle into her arm, and injected whatever liquid was inside of it.

"Whath isth thath?" Her voice slurred as an effect of the drug.

"Vertigo." The Meta replied.

"W'ath yorth nam?" She tried her best to keep her eyes focused.

"Narco." He said, and his face suddenly blurred, and she was staring into the face of Barry Allen.

She was surprised when her boyfriend threw a punch that would most likely bruise her jaw. "Thy ar thou thoing thith?" She asked, the Vertigo had numbed her tongue, making it harder to talk.

"You thought you could be a hero?" Barry shouted in her face.

She struggled against his hands. He had an ironclad grip on her shoulders.

He was squeezing her shoulders, and she thought she was going to pass out from the pain.

When she finally did pass out, she felt as though the World was spinning.
