•Chapter 9•

Evan's POV

I ran towards my castle. Before I got there, I saw all my villagers. They were in werewolf form.

I felt my heart sink. I stood in front of them, blocking their path. "What are you doing?!" I yelled over all the noise.

"Move outta the way you trader!" One of them said and shoved me out the way.

I growled under my breath. I saw my dad approach the front of the huge crowd. "Son! Why have you forsaken us?" My father asked.

I turned away. "Love is love father! No matter Vampire, wolf, or gender!" I protested. My father rolled his eyes.

"We must protect our kingdom!" My father yelled. They all howled and ran towards Jonathan's castle.

I cursed under my breath and ran after my people.

Jonathan's POV

I knew what I had to do. I broke my window and took all the layers of sheets that were on my bed. I just needed to get to that ledge.

Nathan helped me tie knots into the sheets to make a long rope type thing. "You gunna hold it?" I asked. He nodded.

"Yes Jonathan." I jumped down and held onto the sheets. I held with all my might so I didn't fall.

I tried my powers again. Nothing. I cursed to myself. I climbed all the way to the ground.

I put my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath. I heard a bunch of loud howls.

I looked into the distance and saw the entire pack of werewolves. They were running towards me.

I yelled at Nathan to let me up again. I kept shouting it but he never understood what I was saying.

I cursed and tried to stop him from coming down but he said he needed to protect me.

They all came together and stopped in front of me. Their king stepped in front.

"Your father has caused great damage that he never cleaned up. We must do the same to him." He whipped out a sword faster than I could blink.

Nathan jumped in front of me. I screamed. He fell to the floor, limp. I rushed down to his side.

"Nathan! Nathan!" I looked at everyone. They watched. He looked up at me. "Jonathan... it'll be okay... I'll see Lilly again.." His eyes closed.

I screamed at him not to leave me. His chest stopped going up and down. His hand fell to the ground.

I screamed as tears streamed down my face. I heard a voice call out my name. I looked and see Evan being pulled back.

I tried to run to him but the king shoved me to the ground. "You two! Take him to the castle! Take Evan too! Lock Jonathan up!" Evan's father demanded.

"No! Let me go! Father! Father!!" I screamed. One of them turned to human form. He gripped my throat.

I struggled to breath. "Nighty night little prince." He stabbed a syringe into my neck.

I hissed in pain. I felt my body get weaker. My eyes got heavier by the second. "Jonathan! No Jonathan-" My hearing went out.

I fell into blackness.
