Ash dropped her bags in her room, flopping onto her bed. She heard someone else enter the dorm, causing her to spring up and run out of her room. Before her was a girl wearing a puffy pink dress decorated with multicolored bright jewels around the waist. Her hair was blonde with neon pink dyed tips.

"Hello? Are you my dorm buddy?" Ash asked. The girl looked up at her, scoffing.

"No, I'm a complete stranger who broke in." The girl said, holding up her bags higher. Ash crossed her arms.

"My name is Ashlynn, but you'll call me Ash," Ash said. The girl raised an eyebrow.

"Don't you mean I can call you Ash?" She asked. Ash's frown grew.

"No, you have to call me Ash." Ash replied. The girl groaned.

"Yeah, yeah. Well, I have to go put these in my room before the orientation." She said, beginning to walk into her room before Ash stopped her.

"You haven't told me your name yet," Ash said. The girl groaned even louder, grimacing.

"Fine, my name is Valerie. Valerie Fyllopo of Yuoni." The girl now established as Valerie said with a little bow at the end.

"Nice to meet you, Valerie. I'm Ashlynn Manara of Mariana, but like I said before, you have to call me Ash." Ash responded, bowing as well. The sound of a bell began ringing through the Freshmen wing of the dorms, later spreading to the other wings. Ash and Valerie burst out the door, sprinting to the staircase only to be met with a ton of other students. The two girls groaned, joining the crowd of gross teenagers and heading down the stairs. They made their way to the football field and were going to sit next to each other when some guy in all black with tan skin and navy blue hair hurriedly plopped next to Ash.

"Uh, hi?" Ash said, waving to the stranger. He looked over at her and cracked a smile.

"Hi.. I'm Jaxon Lerian of Aqualius." The boy said. Ash realized where she recognized him from.

"Oh! Hey Jax!" Ash said cheerfully. Jaxon looked confused and tilted his head slightly.

"I'm the princess of Mariana? We've seen each other at the Oceanic Gathering of Rulers before." Ash explained. Jaxon's eyes widened.

"Ohh! Hey, Ash. It's good to see you again." He said, holding out a hand for her to shake. She gladly took his hand and shook it as the orientation began.
