"I'm Michael." He smiled, holding out his hand.
"Rebecca." I shook his hand. "Sorry I did realize anyone was in here."
"Oh no. I don't mind." He smirked. I rolled my eyes.
"I guess the guitar is one of the band members. You know, the guys that are going to play this weekend." I said.
"5 seconds of summer?" He asked.
"Yeah! That's there name." I smiled. "I heard them on the radio. There not that bad." I laughed.
He laughed a little harder than me. Like he knew something that I didn't.
"What type of music do you listen to?" He asked.
"Eh, Blink 182, Nirvana, All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens, that sorta stuff."
"Cool." He smiled, genuinely.
"Yeah, well, I gotta get back to work." I sighed.
"What time do you get off?" He asked.
"Uh...actually now." I smiled.
"Would you like to go get some coffee or something?" He scratched the back of his neck nervously.
I laughed at how nervous and cute he was.
"Yeah, sure. Lemme change." I pushed the cart out the door.
Once inside the janitors closet, I pulled of my uniform. I grabbed my bag and headed outside.
I found him sitting on a bench.
"So...?" I asked approaching him.
"Ok, I'm guessing you have a car?" He asked.
"Yeah. Need a lift?"
"My friends dropped me off." He chuckled.
"This way." I motioned to my car.
I unlocked it and threw my bag in the back.
"You have your own guitar." He pointed out.
"Thanks, captain obvious." I giggled and climbed in the drivers side.
He climbed in the passengers seat and I started the engine.
"Do you take lessons? Or do you play for fun?" He asked.
"I'm in a band."
"Really? Was that an original song up there?" He seemed shocked.
"Yeah, was it bad?"
"No, actually it was really good! Did you write it?"
"Yeah." I gave him a smile.
"So, this band of yours?" He smirked.
"Garage band. Not big, but we're planning on it." I sighed.
"I gonna see you play." He stated, confidently.
"And what makes you so sure." I smirked.
"I know I'm going to." He returned my smirk.
"Alright, whatever." I laughed, pulling into the parking lot of Starbucks.
We ordered our drinks and sat down.
He urged me to talk more about my band, so I did. I told him about Emily, who can play drums like no other girl. Sam, who plays amazing on bass. Then lastly, Madison, who has an amazing soprano voice.
"Wow." He said when I concluded.
"Yeah, there awesome friends too." I smiled, taking a sip of coffee.
"So, I heard about your band mates, but I haven't heard about the amazing girl on lead guitar." He smiled.
"What do you wanna know about her?" I asked, trying to hide my smile.
"What does she like? What food is her favorite? Does she do any other hobbies? What's her favorite color?" I laughed at his questions.
"She likes chocolate chip pancakes and just chocolate in general. She likes running. She actually loves running. Her favorite color? Last time I checked, it was black." I smiled.
He smiled back and took a sip of his coffee.
"So, tell me about you, Mister." I said, realizing I only knew his name.
He was about to talk, but my phone rang.
"Sorry, hold on." I sighed, answering the phone. "Hello?"
"Hey hon, just wondering where you are?" My mom said.
"Sorry, I'm at Starbucks with a friend. I forgot to call." I apologized.
"It fine, sweetheart. I was just I little worried. Who's your friend?"
"His name is Michael. He's real nice."
"YOU MET A GUY!" She shrieked through the phone. I had to pull the phone away from my ear.
"Yeah mom, calm down. Look, I'll talk to you more about it when I get home. I gotta go."
"Alright, sweets, have fun. Bye."
"Bye."
I turned back to Michael and he was trying not to smile.
"I guess you don't go out with guys that much." He chuckled.
"Yeah, yeah. Now tell me about you."
"Ok, well I'm 18. I also play guitar. I love traveling. My favorite band is All Time Low. Favorite color, blue."
After a little while later, we decided to met again. We got each other's numbers and I dropped him off at his hotel.
When I got home, I was exhausted. My mom started questioning me.
"I'll tell you tomorrow, ok?" I smiled, sleepily.
"Ok sweetie, goodnight."
I changed and fell onto my bed. Soon I fell asleep.
