Chapter 3

Neku's pov

"Are you serious? I get to see (Y/n) again?" Neku asked. "That's right, but like I just said, you'll have to do something. Afterall, everything comes with a price," Joshua said. "So what is it?" I asked. "Not telling~ Not until you choose," Joshua said. "Choose what?" I asked. "Choose whether you want to be with (Y/n) and if you're willing to be to deal with the consequences," Joshua said. "If I really get to see her again, I'm willing to do anything," Neku said. 

(Y/n)'s pov

Anything? Anything at all? Why for me? 

Neku's pov

"Okie dokie, you've agreed then, well now I'll have to have (Y/n) to agree and we should be all set," Joshua said. "Wait, what do you mean by that?" Neku said. "That's a secret~" Joshua said. 

"Alright you two, here's your order!" Ken Doi yelled. "Oh, thanks," I said. He placed the bowls onto our table. I grabbed my bowl and started to eat my food. Soon, I finished my food and headed out. Joshua wouldn't want to talk anymore about how he mentioned (Y/n). 

Shiki asked me to meet up with her right now so I rushed over to the Hachiko Statue where she asked me to meet her. Shiki seemed smiling to herself as if something big was about to happen.

"Hey Shiki!" I called. "Oh Neku I didn't see you there," Shiki said. "So what's up?" I asked. "Well, I have something I want to tell you," Shiki said. "Go for it," I said. "Well..," Shiki said pausing for a moment fidgeting around. "I-I like you.., N-neku," Shiki said blushing as she fidgeted around more. I took me a few seconds to register what Shiki had just said. As soon as I noticed what Shiki had just said, I felt my face heating up. "Shiki..are you serious?" I asked. She nodded looking at me. "I don't know how to really say this is a nice way so.. I'll just have to say it bluntly.. Shiki, I'm sorry but I really don't feel the same and.. I have someone else I like already..," Neku said. "Oh.. I understand. Well, sorry for wasting your time. I have to go now. I hope it works out with you and your crush. I'll be cheering on for you two, whoever it is," Shiki said looking like she was about to cry. She started to run away but I grabbed onto her wrist. Shiki turned around and her face was bursting was tears. I tried my best not to look at her face. "Shiki, before you go.. I wanted to say something to you," I said. "W-what?" Shiki said wiping her tears. "Since you're my good friend, I'll tell you this. The person I like is no longer here," I said. "W..what do you mean?" Shiki asked. I pointed up to the sky. Shiki's eyes widened. "Oh.. that's what you meant.. I'm sorry, I made remember about that," Shiki said. I let go of her wrist and she ran away. 

(Y/n)'s pov

As Neku left the shop, the boy still remained inside the shop. He got up his seat. Then, I noticed he was walking towards me. He gave me a signal to walk out the shop with him so I did. 

"Why, I didn't expect you to peep on our conversation," the boy said. "So you knew I was there watching you two?" I said. "Why wouldn't I?" Joshua shrugged. "So.. your name is Joshua?" I asked. "That's what I prefer to be called, my actual name is something else," Joshua said. "So, have you thought of your choice yet? Neku's already made his now to complete it, I need yours. It's already late in the afternoon. You don't have much time," Joshua said. 

Neku trusted this boy... If Neku was able to trust him then, maybe I should too. 

"I want to meet and talk to Neku again," I said. "Good choice. I figured you would say that, then I shall meet you right here tomorrow morning," Joshua said. I nodded my head and walked away. 

Neku's pov

I felt bad about what earlier with Shiki but.. there wasn't anything else I could do. I know, I should leave my feelings for (Y/n) behind but simply can't though.. 

And about what Joshua said.. Do I really get to see her again? 

BEEP

I had gotten a notafication. When I turned on my phone, it said I recieved a message from Joshua. 

Joshua? He nevers texts me, what's he want?

Meet me at the front of Ramen Don tomorrow morning. -Joshua 

Why? Does this have to do with seeing (Y/n)? 

Timeskip to the next day

Just like what Joshua asked me to do, I waited in fronr of Ramen Don in the middle of the road of Dengonzaka. Soon, I saw a blonde hair boy waving and walking towards me. 

"You came earlier than I thought. Well I guess the sooner the better," Joshua said. "So what did you want?" I asked. "To see (Y/n) again, I'll have to have you play the game again," Joshua said. "The game!? I have to go through that torture again?" I yelled. "Are you going to back out then?" Joshua asked. "No I won't," I said. "Good to hear, alright now that the both of you are he-" "What do you mean by 'both of you'?" I asked. "Why, who else? It's (Y/n) obviously," Joshua said sounding like I should've already known. "(Y/N)?? What! where?" I yelled. "You're quite feisty right now. Well, sorry can't explain to you. But anyways, you two have to play the game again. So I'll be talking you two's most valued prized possessions," Joshua said but smirked soon after. "But since this isn't just bringing back someone to life, I'm bringing back someone who's been erased before so I'll be taking away something else also," Joshua said. "Now then.. I shall put you two into the game right now," Joshua said.
