Brian

I peeled my eyes open, a wave of nausea and dizziness hitting me. Aaron was not in the room, his spot in the bed bare and empty. I sighed as I sat up, clutching my aching head. It had been days since the chloroform incident and I was still feeling rather sick.

I sighed, hugging the hoodie close. What happened yesterday? My head felt fuzzy, with bits of memories missing. It had happening more often than not lately, the feeling that I was forgetting important things.

Hushed whispers came from outside the door, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I recognized one of the voices as Aaron's. I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath as I collapsed my barrier and put my senses on Full Alert.

After a few moments my eyes blazed brightly, the red specks littering my irises piercing through their blue colour.

"You did what to him?" Aaron's whisper yell shot through clearly. "That was stupid, Danny." He whisper yelled in a stern tone. "What you did was dangerous. What if you harmed him?" He asked with a sigh.

"It was the only thing I could do. Leaving him would have pend out way worse." Danny said, his whisper calm.

I knew I shouldn't be eavesdropping on people but as one of the few werewolves with a barrier and the ability to put their senses on Full Alert, it was hard resisting the temptations of eavesdropping.

"Don't act on your own again. You're going to screw up everything we worked so hard for." Aaron warned. "Do you want to screw up everything?" He asked, his tone hard and cold.

Everything they worked hard for? I questioned myself. What were they talking about? Who was 'he'? And what did Danny do to 'him' that made Aaron so angry?

"N-No." Danny answered in a shaky tone. "I'm sorry." Danny said. I closed my eyes, easing my senses out of Full Alert. Aaron had no knowledge of my being able to put my sense on Full Alert. We wouldn't want him finding out that we eavesdropped on him now, would we?

Aaron entered the room, a soft smile gracing  his face as he set his eyes on me. "Brian, I'm glad you're awake." Aaron said, sitting on the edge of the bed.

He opened his arms in invitation. I gingerly crawled to him, straddling his lap and wrapping my arms around his neck. I sighed in content, laying my head on his shoulder.

"Will you be with me the whole day?" I asked, intertwining our hands. I let my eyes flutter shut as Aaron wrapped his arm around my waist.

"Do you want me to be with you all day?" He asked, a soft smile piercing through his tone. My being sick got me used to my mate. I was letting Aaron touch me as freely as he wanted.

His touch was soft and gentle. He was always careful in handling me, treating me as though I was fine china.

Beautiful yet breakable.

Maybe I was as fine china in a way. As beautiful as I was fragile. One wrong move and I would shatter into a million pieces.

"Yeah." I said, smiling soft. Having a mate was calming, I thought as Aaron let out his pheromones. It was soothing. Was this how mated werewolves felt?

"I will stay with you then." Aaron said, planting a kiss on my neck. "Want to wash up and eat first?" He asked, earning a nod from me. "Think you can stomach solid food?" He asked as I got off of him.

"Mmh, I want pizza." I said, making my way to the bathroom. "Pizza?" Aaron asked with a chuckle, shaking his head.

I washed up, I still looked awful. I went back to the room. The sheets were changed, a set of new clothes on the bed. I slipped on the clothes, a large black hoodie and loose hanging black shorts.
