Prologue

 I was sitting in my bedroom listening to the sounds going on downstairs. They had sparked  my curiousity badly. I got up and put on my slippers that I got from my grandmother 3 years ago when I was 9 and turned to the clock to check the time, 2:00 am exactly. What was going on at 2:00 in the morning. I twisted my door knob and gazed out my door to check for signs of anything strange but by the look of it nothing was out of place. White walls and a coffee table on the landing. Fully out of my door I went to the staircase beside the bathroom which was right beside my bedroom. I had never known anyone in my house to be up at this time. 

All sorts of different colors were flying everywhere and by the sounds of it there was chanting of some sort going on in my living room. Where we having a disco that I didn't no about at 2:00am? 

My curious trait took the better off me and I went down the stairs. I took each step with precision and caution, when I reached the bottom step the chanting grew louder and I heard a familiar voice saying those words!

My mom! 

Then with that a sudden bang went off and everything was silent.

I heard footsteps a minute later coming to were I was at a standstill.

Should I run or let my curiousity get the better of me?

" Sam what are you doing up honey" came my mothers soothing voice from the doorway of our living room. 

"Um Mom what's going on? ", " What are you and Dad up to?"

Mum give me a concerned look, " Sam honey I think its best you came with me, your Dad and I need to have a serious chat with you", "Your not like everyone else around here, our whole family isn't for a fact"

What the hell is going on?

Please excuse my prologue it isn't very good but I wrote it just to give you a bit of background on the main character.
