Friday night

The rest of the week was like the longest week in the universe. I basically spent my whole time stuck in my dorm room doing essays upon essays and attending class when needs be. Izzy has been round a couple of times and Meg is barely here with all the frat parties she attends.

Today is Friday and per usual I am sitting in my dorm room study trying to take my mind off a certain someone. I flick through the pages of my nursing textbook trying to find a page that would at least catch my attention for about 2 minutes so I wouldn't have to think about tonight. Izzy is extremely excited on my behalf that I was going to meet her cousin but what she doe not know is that I plan on not going.

Who in there right mind would go out to meet a guy that basically told them what to do and hit them in the face with a ball. Not me for one! First impressions are a big thing to me and he sure didn't win me in that categorie.

I glance up from my textbook when I hear the key twisting in the lock. The door pushes open and in walks a very happy Meg.

"Hey girl, how about we go out for the night?" Meg asks whilst dancing around the room to the song 'Rude' by MAGIC.

"Eh no, I am busy it's Friday night and I am tired" I say as I put my hair up in a ponytail. " I also look a mess" I gesture to my sweatpants, slipper socks and my cosy jumper which is about 2 sizes to big for me.

" It's cocktail night at the bar just down the street, come on we will only go out for a quick drink!" Meg says half begging.

"Fine but we are only 19 ,how are we suppose to get  a drink?"  I ask. 

"Don't worry I know the bartender" Meg says with a mischievous grin on her face.

"Of course you do" I say as I get off the bed and walk to the bathroom to get a shower.

After the shower,I apply my makeup and get dressed. I decide to leave my hair to naturely dry meaning it will be wavy down my back. I dress in black leather high waisted shorts,  a red silk crop top with golden swirls over it and black strappy high heels . 

Meg walks out of the bathroom in a blue flowy dress that pulls in at the waist and blue high heels that look like the height of empire state building. 

"Ready, you look amazing by the way" Meg says smiling.

"Thanks so do you, ready as I will ever be" I reply smiling.

We arrive at the bar about 5 minutes later and my feet are already killing me. 

"Oh look there's Jack over there" Meg says pointing to a nice looking guy behind the bar who has dark blonde hair long at the top and short at the sides. Jack must have heard Meg cause  he turns in our direction smiles and waves us over.

Well I see Meg and Jack are obviously into eachother, great!

I walk behind Meg and quickly glance around the bar. It's full of college kids and seems that everyone is around my age to about 23 years old. The song ' Fancy' is playing and everyone seems to sitting around chatting or dancing on the small dance floor. Meg takes a seat infront of Jack and I take the seat beside.
