*flashback
Drowsily I wake to a bright light, most likely a hospital room. I close my eyes again and focus on the noises around me.
"Is there anything you could do to make her wake up?" A panicked voice asks, I presume my mum's voice, "I'm sorry m'am but there is nothing else to do, apart from wait for her to wake naturally". Someone else responds, I presume the doctor.
At this point I decide to open my eyes and look towards where I think my mum is standing. "Mum?" I say with a croaky voice, "oh Jade, thank goodness how do you feel?" She asks gently.
"I feel...like hell, what...happened?" I ask between breaths, "well...um I'll let Dr Ross explain". Mum says backing away, "well miss Jackson it seems that you got hit by a car traveling south bound at 100 km". (200 mph)
"How bad are my injury's?" I ask "well surprisingly you don't have any head trauma or any broken arms but.." She paused to look at her clip board.
"Your spine took the most of the hit, and according to the x-ray of your spine it looks to be cracked in multiple places" "and that means?" I inquire.
"It means that the damage done is irreversible so you won't be able to walk again" the news hit me like a tonne of bricks falling ontop of me.
"So she won't be able to go through rehabilitation right?" mum asks. Ross shook her head no.
An ery feeling fills the room as Dr Ross leaves, I start to shake violently as I cry the hardest I had every cryed before.
Mum holds me tight like she would never let go.
