CHAPTER 2 - DRAFT DAY Part 2

Jonah and Zack together -
"A GIRL???!!!!"

Jonah - "Dude, how? Like a girl never ranks! Not in bid! Not in high draft! Never! Like usually girls become Guardians and then recruit other girls as Disciples for the sake of...well, looking out for each other I guess. And who is Galiera Morte anyways? Have you heard about her?"

Zack - "No, I haven't. She must have trained and registered secretly. Maybe she chose not to have herself known as a potential candidate unless drafted. It says she's 15! Why haven't we heard about her until now though? Look at her stats man!"

Jonah - "I see man!!! She has an affinity ability and is a marksman with the bow and rifle! She has also mastered multiple martial arts and has a ton of research points! Dude she is like super legit!"

Zack - "Yes she is. I don't know man, this is a first. Something about her has to be special to not only be chosen as a Disciple but to be bidded 1st in her class..."

BURBUUURRRRR!!!! (The draft horn)

Zack - "Oh it's the draft!!! Let's see what happens man! It's our turn now!"

Jonah - "Let's go!!!"

Jonah and Zack were 2 of more than 10,000 Disciple candidates who were trying to be drafted this year in their city alone. Zion had drafts going on in all metropolis cities on each planet in the galaxy under the Zion law.

Jonah and Zack both were very good researchers. They were good at finding valuable materials in the outer lands surrounding the city and pretty proficient in survival skills. Zack was a bit more advanced in boxing and wrestling but lacked bow skills that Jonah had.

Neither had alot of merits or family names of worth. But both had dreams of being drafted to help those close to them and to become noticed as top tier Disciples and one day be favorites for Guardian candidates when their time comes. As the draft continued, many 13 year olds were watching other young boys and a few girls from wealthy or political families be drafted first.

Jonah and Zack began to get nervous...

Zack - "Come on guys. Choose us. We're better than them."

Jonah - "It's not looking too good, Zack."

As the screen began to change, number after number, draft after draft, name after name, none of the choices Jonah and Zack had made was a match and neither were randomly picked yet. But then the announcer said loudly,

"DERXUS HAS REQUESTED AND PURCHASED A REDRAW FOR HIS RANDOM DRAFT!"

Jonah and Zack - "The White Owl Guardian!"

The announcer began again saying loudly,

"AFTER CASTING A REDRAW, DERXUS WILL RECEIVE ZACK SNYDER AS HIS DISCIPLE!"

Jonah - "Dude yes!!!! You got picked man!!! Wow! Thats the White Owl man! They say he is a hardcore Guardian. He is strong, does expensive missions, isn't scared of much, and is very talented and gifted. You got an awesome Guardian dude!"

Zack - "Wow man. I can't believe it. I'm shocked. I'm leaving here man. Im becoming a Disciple. I don't know what to say."

Jonah - "Don't say anything! Just go dude!!! This is your time! Don't worry about me...ima be right behind with somebody somewhere. I never let you get too far ahead of me, haha!"
*winks eye*

Zack - "Thanks, Jonah. That means alot. Ima head over there to my Guardian. Oh and Jonah?"

Jonah - "Yea?"

Zack - "The motto!"

Jonah and Zack together - "Guardian and Disciple. We strive. We stay alive. We survive. With Nature's grace and Zion as our guide."

Jonah - "Haha! Love you man! Have fun!"

Zack - "Same to you, bro! See you in the outer lands someday."

Jonah - "Oh yeah!"

Zack headed to his Guardian, Derxus, who was waiting for him in a separate corridor away from the grounds of the drafting announcements. What Jonah did not realize until he got there was that Derxus had 2 other Disciples with him...

Derxus - "Hello, Zack. Welcome to my group. I'm Derxus, or White Owl, as you may already know. This is Ryoll my former Disciple for 3 years, and my other new addition to the group, Galiera."

Ryoll and Galiera - "Welcome."

Zack - "Thanks. I'm glad to be here."

Zack thought to himself  *Oh My god!!! It's her!*

He knew then that everything about his life he had ever known was about to change.
