"Good to see you again Luna..." Zebsnun chuckled.

 "Zebsnun..." Luna growled.

"Wait, you KNOW him?!" Chad said, astounded.

"Knew him... those days are long gone." Luna held her staff at battle ready, "he's not the king I once knew."

Luna here was my royal sorceress," Zebsnun explained, "until she ran away of course."

"I didn't run, Zebsnun," Luna said, "the darkness in your heart blinded you to what you were becoming." Zebsnun let out a bone chilling laugh, "That's precious. She was always telling me what to do..."

"Advising you," she corrected, "but you never listened." Chad couldn't believe what he was hearing. Luna... was Zebsnun's royal sorceress?! Alcrolyie let out a long sigh and shifted in Chad's arms. "Luna!" Chad called.

Luna turned her head swiftly and saw the girl was waking up. As she turned back towards Zebsnun it was too late. His giant hand made contact with her side as he back handed her into the far wall down the hallway.

"No!" Chad yelled angrily. Luna managed to pull herself up from the floor. Chad started running towards her but she held her hand up in protest and yelled, "Get her out of here!"

 "What about you?!"

"Just go!" Luna stood up and spoke powerful, ancient words, "Vocat deam flamma ignis. Adolebitque inimicos cineres abit!" Her staff emitted a purple aura bright enough to make Chad's eyes water. Zebsnun was already charging full speed at Luna, but right when he was about to make his next move, Luna finished her spell and knocked him back. He fell to the ground in a thunderous heap as smoke emanated from his clothes. She ran to catch up to Chad who was already almost at the exit. Once again she raised her staff and said, "Ianuae!" Light pushed through the darkness from Luna's staff and surrounded them all in her aura and......They were outside the castle walls. Luna had teleported them far enough away to make their escape. "Well," Luna huffed, out of breath, "that was a close one."

Chad put Alcrolyie down so he could assess her injuries. Her right forearm was broken, bruised, and gashed. Her left leg was broken, but no gash wounds. The wound in her side was closed for now, but it was still deep. Bruises and other small cuts and scrapes covered the rest of her body. Anger filled Chad's entire body. How could anyone do this?! He turned to fly back to Zebsnun's castle, but Luna's staff came quickly to his chest, blocking his path.

"Where do you think you're going," she scowled.

"To kill that son of a..."

"Take it easy," Luna pushed him back a couple steps, "you're nowhere near powerful enough to challenge him now. Not even I was enough."

Chad blasted a gust of air away from them all, obviously frustrated.

"Let's tend to her wounds so we can get moving again," Luna bent down to where she could better see Alcrolyie's wounds. She held her staff over her body and spoke softly, "Curare." Slowly she moved her staff over the more serious injuries that needed to be treated immediately. Her bones mended enough that they were no longer broken, but weren't fully healed. Her bruises disappeared over a lot of her body and face which made her look more like a normal girl now. Her fair skin slowly turned from ghastly purple to perfect peach. Luna pulled the staff away from her body and took deep, arduous breaths.

The teleportation spell and the healing spell must have taken a lot out of her, Chad thought to himself, we'll need to find shelter soon so they can both rest. Without hesitation he scanned his surroundings to find a suitable place to lay low for a while. Further to the east, there were smaller hills by the beach that were just tall enough to hide them from Zebsnun's beasts. He picked Alcrolyie back up and maneuvered her onto his back so he could more easily carry her.
