I woke up. I saw nothing but pure white all around me. I assumed that since I had just woken that it was the sun shining in my eyes.
Suddenly I felt the warmth of the sun. And saw the blossom trees as they gently blew the blossom flowers into my hair, and the soft petals brushing against my skin.
It was a warm summers day that felt like a dream. It was so perfect. I could feel the grass tickle between my toes as I walked every step ever so slowly, trying to take all this in.
I didn't know how I got here. But at the same time I didn't really think about it much, let alone really care. My surroundings were breath taking, and I never wanted to leave this wonderland.
I looked over to see a white-tailed deer grazing near the lake with her newborn fawn trying to stand for the first time. The deer looked right at me and froze. Before anything else happened a swirling breeze hit the tree and scared the deer away.
It started to feel a little cooler. I stared immensely at the trees. As if time turned right before my eyes the leaves went from a bright green to an orangish red. And before I knew it, the leaves started to fall.
Could it be fall already? That couldn't be possible...it was just summer...
But I didn't have much time to process it as a cold fall breeze slammed against me and sent shivers up my spine.
I had to find a place to stay before the weather got worse.
I looked up the mountain and saw a cave. So I took a deep breath and got ready for my journey ahead.
The winds were blowing toward me so hard I almost lost my balance. I had only gotten half way up the mountain, but it had been several hours and I needed food and sleep.
